RHOBH’s Kyle Richards Responds To ‘Frustrating’ Ozempic Drug Weight Loss Rumors

Kyle Richards has criticized online speculation that he has been secretly using the diet drug Ozempic to lose weight.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star continued to show off her incredible physique when she attended The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection event in New York on Wednesday.

Speaking to DailyMail.com about the ongoing rumors about her weight loss, the 54-year-old admitted she found it frustrating to see her hard work thrown out as the result of a “cheat drug.”

“When people try to blame my appearance on surgery or Ozempic, which would be completely irresponsible to use when diabetics can’t get their hands on it, it’s really frustrating for me,” Kyle explained.

‘It bothers me. I prefer to just inspire people with what I’m doing so they can try the same things I’ve been doing and see what happens for them.’

Semaglutide, sold under the brand names Ozempic, Wegovy, and Rybelsus, is an antidiabetic drug used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and as an anti-obesity drug for long-term weight management, developed by Novo Nordisk in 2012, according to Wikipedia.

Detailing the lifestyle changes she made to achieve her toned figure, the Halloween actress continued: “I noticed a huge change when I cut alcohol, sugar and carbs out of my diet.” I was only going to do it for a few weeks, until I got to where I wanted to be weight-wise.

‘I didn’t put a timeline on it. I felt amazing and thought, “I don’t feel like going back.” I started taking it to the next level by exercising two hours a day. I really work hard to eat right and take care of my body, and I feel like it shows.’

Reflecting further on the fan reaction to the changes in his physique, Kyle added, “There have been trolls, but I went into my DMs and I was inundated with people explaining how I’ve been an inspiration to them.” People are really following my lead by cutting out sugar and carbs, or doing my exercises.’

The reality star revealed how she’s been motivated to speak more about the importance of taking care of her body while sharing her respect for the Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection event.

This year’s concert was held at Jazz at Lincoln Center and was dedicated to raising awareness about cardiovascular disease.

“We need to make people realize that heart disease is the leading cause of death among women. Men get a lot more attention about heart attacks, and we need to raise awareness about the importance of eating right and exercising,” she explained.

The star has been showing off her slimmer body in new Instagram snaps, with many fans commenting that she must have used Ozempic, a diabetes drug that leads to weight loss, to achieve those results.

However, she has vehemently denied the claims. While she appeared on the Two T’s In a Pod podcast with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge, she last week revealed her weight loss secrets.

“After gaining weight over the summer, on July 15, after I got off the boat, I said, ‘That’s it, I’m not eating sugar, carbs or alcohol,'” Richards explained.
