England’s stars dominate the rankings of the most expensive players, compared with Spain, ahead of the 2024 European Championship finals in Berlin.
According to the CIES Football Observatory, the Three Lions squad had the highest transfer value ahead of the tournament.
Gareth Southgate’s team were estimated to be worth £1.45 billion, while Spain were in fourth place with £919 million.
This has been calculated by looking at the value of over 6,000 transfers and the prices paid in the past for players with similar attributes.
The research group has now ranked the top 10 players by transfer value in the England and Spain squads as the two teams meet in the Euro 2024 final.

Jude Bellingham is the highest valued player, at £176m according to CIES Football Observatory
Lamine Yamal, the 17-year-old sensation, is Spain’s highest-ranked player at fourth in the list
England star Jude Bellingham tops the list, with the Real Madrid midfielder estimated to be worth £245 million (€285 million), just over a year after joining the Spanish giants for £113 million.
Manchester City’s Phil Foden, the Premier League Player of the Season, and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka follow.
The two are in second and third place respectively with a value of £176 million (€205 million) and £160 million (€186 million).
17-year-old Spanish sensation Lamine Yamal is La Roja’s highest-ranked player on the list, sitting in fourth place.
Yamal, who starred for Spain at Euro 2024, has been valued at £134m (€156m) by CIES Football Observatory.
Cole Palmer, who was used as a substitute by Gareth Southgate at Euro 2024, is in fifth place with a value of £108m (€126m), ahead of Declan Rice, who was valued at £92m (€108m).
England have six of the eight most highly rated players according to CIES Football Observatory
Despite playing just five minutes in the final group match against Slovenia at Euro 2024, Anthony Gordon is also in the top 10 with a value of £74 million (€87 million).
The winger is behind Rodri, while the Man City midfielder is the second highest rated Spanish player with a value of £84m (€98m).
Nico Williams and injured midfielder Pedri complete the top 10, with both players valued at £74 million (€86 million) and £73 million (€85 million) respectively.
It may come as a surprise that England captain Harry Kane doesn’t feature in the top 10, despite the 30-year-old joining Bayern Munich for £100million last summer.
