Republican calls to REMOVE Adam Schiff from Congress over damning Durham report: Anna Paulina Luna says Democrats’ ‘lies’ cost US taxpayers ‘millions’
- The Florida Republican filed an eviction resolution on Wednesday
- It came on a day when the House passed a resolution on indicted GOP Rep. Santos
- Schiff put in the most effort, saying “MAGA” was trying to push him out
Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna has introduced a resolution to evict Democratic California Representative Adam Schiff from the House following the release of the Durham report, calling him an “disgrace” to the chamber.
The Trump loyalist, who also gained the endorsement of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and Donald Trump Jr., introduced her resolution on a day when the House voted to introduce a Democratic motion to the Ethics Committee to impeach Rep. George Santos (DN.Y.), who faces federal corruption and campaign finance charges in New York.
The move comes after Schiff denounced the Durham report as a ‘wasted effort’ as it was revealed the report addresses an incident where a university researcher who met with Schiff’s own staff felt threatened by a request for an analysis of a news article about the Trump Organization and Russia-owned Alfa Bank.
Schiff lied to the American people. He used his stance on House Intel to spread a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars. He is an embarrassment to the House of Representatives,” said the Floridian.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna introduced a resolution to replace Rep. Adam Schiff out of Congress. She said he had “lied to the American people” and cited the Durham Report, which rejects allegations of collusion with Russia and calls the Russia investigation “seriously flawed.” She is pictured with Rep. George Santos (RN.Y. – lower right) who is the subject of a Democratic eviction resolution after being indicted on corruption and campaign finance charges
“The Durham Report makes it clear that the conspiracy with Russia was a lie from day one and that Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” she said.
The too tweeted an image of the resolution.
Schiff, who led Trump’s first impeachment trial as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and is running for the Senate (House Republicans kicked him off the panel when they took over this year), tried to milk the attack on him.
He posted his own tweet about the matter. BREAKING NEWS: A MAGA Republican member of Congress just filed a motion to remove me from the US House of Representatives. I took on Donald Trump and held extreme MAGA forces accountable. Now they want revenge. They go after anyone who defends the rule of law.’
Both missives lit up the internet. Luna has 1 million views and Schiff has 1.9 million views on Twitter.

The Trump-backed Florida legislator tweeted the resolution
Schiff tried to cash in on Paulina Luna’s eviction campaign by tweeting, “BREAKING NEWS: A MAGA Republican congresswoman just filed a motion to have me removed from the US House of Representatives.
Republicans voted Wednesday to send a resolution on Santos’s expulsion to the House Ethics Committee. Democrats had called for a vote on removal on the floor
Expelling Schiff, or any member for that matter, is a gamble. Removal requires a two-thirds majority of the House, and Democrats have aligned themselves with Schiff, an ally of former Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
According to a 2016 CRS report, “Historically, the underlying conduct deemed to be dismissal from office has been either disloyalty to the United States or the violation of a criminal law involving abuse of one’s official position, such as bribery.”
Schiff infuriated Trump with his repeated claims of “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia.
“I don’t want to go into details, but I will say there is evidence that is not circumstantial. But as I’ve said all along, there’s plenty of evidence of conspiracy,” he said in one case on NBC’s “Meet the Press” in 2017.
Speaker Kevin McCarthy got Schiff removed from the Intel committee, saying he had “lied to the American public.”
The Durham report denounces the FBI for “failing to live up to their mission of strict adherence to the law” and acknowledges contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russians, but says there was no evidence to warrant a full investigation during the 2016 presidential campaign. It calls that investigation “seriously flawed” and accuses the FBI of “confirmation bias.”
