Microbiologist Marie Claire Yandju’s award-winning research focuses on detoxifying cassava, a staple food, and improving processing and techniques while developing environmentally friendly technologies. All her efforts go towards combating widespread malnutrition and surviving climate change in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
