But Reese made it seem like it’s just a job and she got over it.

The star also called Ashton a “very good friend” and very “funny”.

The conversation started with Drew saying, “You guys have been on carpets together and it’s true that Mila Kunis says, ‘You guys need to be together more and hug each other.'”

Reese shared: “Mila texted us the other day and said, ‘They look so awkward together on the carpet.

“She’s like, ‘You guys are so weird, you act like you’re kids at a birthday party not wanting to take pictures or something.’

Drew then said that if someone is married, it feels “really weird” to touch them.

Reese chimed in, “Yeah, I mean we’re really good friends, but I don’t know what people want.”

Reese then downplayed the carpet controversy: “You’re supposed to see the movie, you’re not supposed to worry about the red carpet.”

That’s when he complimented Ashton: ‘He’s so funny and so good. I’ve known Mila longer than Ashton.

This comes after Ashton spoke with the chicks in the office podcast.

The 45-year-old actor made it seem like there was no way he was going to win over social media users who mocked how unfriendly he seemed to Witherspoon.

“Here’s the thing: if you hugged her and were nice to her, you’d be having an affair with her,” he explained. ‘Like, the rumor would be that I’m having an affair with her.’

His co-star previously revealed that his wife Kunis had even emailed the two to joke that they looked “so awkward” together on the red carpet.

“If I stand next to her and put my hands in my pockets so there’s no chance of that being the rumor, then the rumor is that we don’t like each other,” Kutcher continued in a preview of his appearance on the podcast.

She also shared the anecdote of Kunis making fun of the two stars once she saw the red carpet photos.

‘My wife called me. She texted me and Reese together and said, “You guys have to… act like you like each other.”

The no-contact strategy he employed was a stark contrast to the way other actors conducted themselves while publicizing their projects.

The That ’70s Show star noted that he is deaf in one ear due to a rare form of vasculitis that he recently battled.

Due to his hearing impairment, he finds it difficult to hear people shouting in the crowd.

“I don’t know who is calling my name, but I know there are a lot of people yelling, ‘Reese! Ashton! Here!” she said.

“If you’re going to tell me, in that whole 20-minute period, at one point you’re not going to have an awkward face, then you’re better than me and I’m fine with that.”

Kutcher’s condition also temporarily affected his sense of balance, making it difficult for him to even walk.

He and Witherspoon star in Your Place Or Mine, which premieres on Netflix on February 10, as best friends who swap homes and lives for a week, leading them to consider that they may be more than just friends.
