A Red Rooster worker claims she was fired from a fast food chain for a caption in one of her TikTok videos.

The Brisbane worker, who goes by Qrillo on TikTok, posted a seemingly innocent video on Saturday of herself working a drive-thru at a Red Rooster, wearing a restaurant uniform and headphones on.

While the video seemed innocent enough, with Qrillo simply mouthing the words to a song, it was a commentary she superimposed over the video that got her in trouble.

“When I accidentally put a $100 bill in my pocket at work,” she wrote, captioning the video: “Why am I so dumb?”

It didn’t take long for his managers at Red Rooster to notice the video, reportedly quickly finishing Qrillo on Sunday.

“I was notified of the TikTok video you posted on 4/2/23 regarding $100 you (allegedly) stole,” the manager texted him Sunday.

‘(Alleged) theft is not tolerated here at Red Rooster and we will terminate your contract effective today.

‘Please return your work uniform as soon as possible.’

Qrillo posted a screenshot of the texts, “damn I just got fired” and responded to his manager’s firing text “lol no.”

The manager quickly responded to Qrillo, claiming that the police were investigating the TikTok.

“We kindly ask your corporation (sic) regarding this issue,” they wrote.

The police will soon be investigating this case.

Qrillo then responded, “It’s black history month, you can’t fire me,” followed by three more skulls.

February is Black History Month in the United States.

Some of Qrillo’s followers desperately tried to warn her about the drive-thru video before Red Rooster fired her.

“So nobody thinks about fingerprints anymore?” warned one billboard, echoing what many others said about how what you post online can come back to haunt you.

Some made a joke about his video, including the commenter who said, ‘Dude, would Red Rooster even have $100 in the box?’

But many others warned that there would be dire consequences.

“You’ll get fired from Red Rooster if you do that, speaking from experience,” wrote one.

Another shared his experience at another fast food establishment.

“Girl I could never get away with it, at KFC we count the money at the end of the day and if anything is missing they check the cameras and you get fired.”

However, others questioned if everything was as it seemed, with one person asking: “Why did they misspell the co-op?”

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Qrillo and Red Rooster for further comment and information.
