Rebel Wilson Reveals Her Biggest Regret As An Actress And How It Inspired Her Weight Loss Journey: ‘I Didn’t Want To Let Anyone Down’

She has been a Hollywood fixture since her breakout role in the 2011 romantic comedy Bridesmaids.

And Rebel Wilson has now revealed the biggest regret of her career to date.

The 42-year-old actress and comedian said yahoo overcame a concussion while filming the 2019 film Isn’t It Romantic alongside Liam Hemsworth.

He was knocked unconscious when he slipped and hit his head on a grassy hill, but he kept going because he didn’t want to let anyone down.

After being rushed to the hospital, the Pitch Perfect star went straight back to work despite suffering a concussion.

Rebel, who has since been associated with Concussion Awareness Now, went on to film a 16-hour work day while struggling with intense headaches, nausea, and neck and shoulder pain.

She said all she wanted to do was “lie down in a dark place” but at the time she “felt pressure” to keep working.

“You can’t see a broken brain,” he added. ‘And with my concussion, they couldn’t see it. It seemed normal, it seemed to myself.

“I love my job and I didn’t want to let anyone down, but from what I know I would have valued my own health more and rested.”

Rebel said the concussion partly inspired his ‘health year’ in 2020, in which he transformed his physical and mental well-being, losing 35kg in two years.

She revealed in January that daily walks, rather than endless high-intensity exercises, were her secret weight-loss weapon.

Rebel said a doctor at a health retreat had advised her to start walking, insisting it was the “best way” to lose weight.

“The doctor told me, ‘Rebel, the best way to lose unwanted body fat is to just walk,'” he explained. “It doesn’t have to be high intensity, it doesn’t have to be uphill, just moderately walking for an hour a day.”
