Rebel Wilson teases there WILL be a Pitch Perfect 4 over 12 years after she made her debut as Fat Amy
Rebel Wilson has revealed that there are plans for a Pitch Perfect 4, as she teased that the franchise isn’t over yet.
The actress, 44, played Fat Amy in the musical comedy in what has become one of the most defining roles of her career.
And while it’s been over seven years since the release of the third installment, Rebel has now confirmed that a script is in development for a fourth film.
Speaking at the London Palladium on Monday night, while promoting her new memoir, Rebel Rising, the star admitted: “I would love to do a Pitch Perfect 4 and I believe there is a script in development for it.”
Suggesting where the story could go next, she teased, “I think someone should get married, maybe me and Bumper (Adam DeVine).”

Fans first met The Bellas in 2012 when Beca (Anna Kendrick) started attending Barden University, after which she was recruited by the university’s acapella group and plunged into the world of harmonies and riff-offs.
As Beca leads The Bellas to victory in the International Championship of Collegiate Acapella (the ICCA), she forms strong friendships with her fellow Bellas, including Aubrey (Anna Camp), Chloe (Brittany Snow), and of course, Fat Amy.
And Rebel’s friendship with her co-stars is still as strong as ever, as she described it as her best professional experience: “We had the best time, it was like having fun with your friends.”
Discussing reuniting for a fourth film, she said, “Me and all the girls talk about it all the time,” she joked, “We’re busy, but they can pay us to get together!”
And it might not even stop there, because Rebel revealed that she would also be up for a Pitch Perfect The Musical.
During the Q&A of the show, An Evening with Rebel Wilson, where she talked about her life and journey to success in Hollywood, a fan asked if a show would ever be made, as Rebel revealed: ‘I feel like it should be on the menu.”
“Well, the director of Pitch Perfect, Jason Moore, is a big Broadway director, so it could happen. But the thing is, we always sang in 10-part harmony and it was very difficult live, so maybe too difficult to do.
‘Also there No one would be as good as me to play Fat Amy!’ she joked.

Rebel cut a glamorous figure as she dined out at Nobu after the show on Monday, just days after her former co-star Sacha Baron Cohen broke his silence about her memoir allegations about his behavior.
She wore a black Lafayette 148 dress with a mesh top and sleeves adorned with glittering jewels.
It comes after Sacha broke his silence after Rebel’s edited memoir was released in Britain last Thursday.
The book was published in the US earlier this month and includes a chapter entitled Sacha Baron Cohen And Other A**holes, in which Rebel makes claims about Sacha’s behavior during the filming of the 2016 film Grimsby, which he has strongly denied.
However, on the British copies the wording is roughly blacked out due to what Rebel calls ‘quirks’ of English law.
In response to the book’s British publication, Baron Cohen’s legal team has seen this decision by publisher HarperCollins as vindication, following the creator’s strong denial of Wilson’s claims.
“HarperCollins did not fact-check this chapter in the book prior to publication and took the sensible but terribly belated step of removing Rebel Wilson’s defamatory claims after they were presented with evidence that they were false,” said the statement, presented in Deadline.

It comes after Sacha Baron Cohen broke his silence after Rebel’s edited memoir was released in Britain on Thursday
‘Printing untruths is against the law in Britain and Australia; this is not a “quirk” as Ms Wilson said, but a legal principle that has existed for many hundreds of years.
“This is a clear victory for Sacha Baron Cohen and confirms what we have said from the beginning: that this is demonstrably false.”
After the revised edition was finally published, publisher HarperCollins confirmed to MailOnline that details had been removed.
They told MailOnline: ‘The book contains some redactions in Chapter 23 on pages 216, 217, 218 and 221, as well as an explanatory note at the start of the chapter.’
After the allegations were detailed in the US version of the book, Sacha’s spokesperson said: ‘While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence…
‘Including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.’
