When Rebel Wilson announced his proposal to his fiancée Ramona Agruma last week, he thanked Disney CEO Bob Iger in his Instagram post — for good reason.
The 42-year-old actress appears on The Drew Barrymore Show in a new episode that will air on Thursday, March 2, with clips from the episode surfacing.
He popped the question to Agruma at the Disneyland resort in Anaheim, though he revealed in the episode that he actually approached Iger for special permission to pop the question at the beloved resort.
“He’s the big, big boss and I thought, ‘Well, if he says yes, then it was meant to be, and he was meant to propose to her that day at Disneyland,’ Wilson said, adding that Disneyland was, ‘the most magical place on earth.’
“I had to get special permission to cordon off a special area and put up the topiary trees and, you know, it had a violinist playing like Disney classics, and it was very, very romantic,” he added.

Wilson revealed that she had never been engaged before and wasn’t sure how to go about it.
‘She said yes. And I was like, “Do I get on my knees? What do I do?” And I said, “I can too,” so I got down on one knee,” Wilson said.
And then she said, “What are you doing?” And she goes, “Well, you can’t be the only one on her knees, so she got on her knees too,” Wilson said, as Drew said, “because she gives, she doesn’t take.”
“It was just beautiful and she said yes and then I was like, ‘Okay, great!'” Wilson said.
Wilson said she was “so overwhelmed” at the moment that after going to a new attraction at Disneyland, she needed some time to regain her composure.
‘Then we went for a walk, this new trip they had, and then I collapsed. Because I had never been engaged before, nor had I been proposed to, nor had I been proposed to. So it was such a big thing in my life,” she continued.
I literally collapsed on the floor for five minutes. And then I’m like, “Okay, I’m fine. Let’s have churros and move on,” Wilson joked.
The couple went public with their relationship in June 2022, and Disney played a role in that as well, specifically in Wilson’s Instagram announcement.

“I thought I was looking for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess,” Wilson said with the hashtag #loveislove.
The couple welcomed their first child via surrogate in November, which Wilson also announced on Instagram.
“Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born last week via surrogate,” she began.
‘I can’t even describe the love I have for her, it’s a beautiful miracle! I will always be grateful to everyone who has been involved (you know who you are)’, she added.
“It’s been years in the making…but I wanted to give a special thanks to my beautiful surrogate mother who carried her and delivered her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it is an incredible gift. The best gift!!’ she added.

Wilson is coming off a couple of movies released in 2022, Senior Year and The Almond and the Seahorse.
She will next be seen in Verona, where she will play Lady Capulet, which is in post-production and is based on the true love story that inspired William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
