Taylor Swift didn’t attend Travis Kelce’s last game because he doesn’t expect her to always be there, according to insiders who claim the singer is fed up with “misogynistic” reports that she’s responsible for his poor start to the season.
Swift, 34, was at Arrowhead Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs’ first two games, but she was not present Sunday, marking the second straight week following her absence from last weekend’s win against the Falcons in Atlanta.
Kelce’s dismal opening games left Swift under fire, with critics claiming his relationship with the pop superstar and their off-season parties had affected his on-court performance.
But insiders close to Swift have dismissed the ‘absurd’ and ‘misogynistic’ speculation, insisting DailMail.com can support her without cheering on the 34-year-old from the sidelines at every match.
“It is absolutely absurd and misogynistic to speculate that Taylor’s presence will impact Travis’ performance,” the source said.

“He loves her support, but doesn’t expect her at every game, just like she doesn’t expect him at every Eras tour date. And fans don’t worry if he’s not at every performance.”
They continued, “They have their own lives and their own careers, and both are at the top of their game.
‘They can support each other without being physically present. After all, television exists.’
The Bad Blood singer was a mainstay at Kelce’s games last season as she celebrated the Chiefs’ victories with his mother Donna Kelce and teammate Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany.
She also took her famous girls team to the Super Bowl finals in February, where she was pictured sharing a kiss with the NFL champion after his team defeated the San Francisco 49ers to lift the trophy.
But Kelce’s return to the field this season has drawn increasing criticism, with former ESPN football analyst Todd McShay blasting the tight end for “partying all season.”
The sportsman appeared on stage at several of her Eras dates, danced with the singer in a box at the US Open, and has been busy with various endorsements and making his acting debut in the new FX horror Grotesquerie.
The celebrity couple, who started dating last summer, also found themselves at the center of a media storm when a contract, believed to be drawn up by Kelce’s US PR company Full Scope and confirming September 28 as their separation date, was circulated online.

The source added, “It is absolutely absurd and misogynistic to speculate that Taylor’s presence will impact Travis’ performance.”
“Taylor and Travis spent September 28, the day of their alleged breakup, at her LA home, just as they planned,” the source said. “They spent the day doing the exact opposite of breaking up.
“People need to chill out and drop this breakup nonsense, just like they need to put an end to the endless speculation about marriage and engagement. One day it’s this rumor, the next day that, and they’re not even close.”
The document claimed the announcement would be “gracious and respectful and emphasize mutual respect,” with a statement sent to major media outlets with a press release to ensure “broad coverage.”
The document read: “Example: After careful consideration, Travis and Taylor have decided to separate. They value and respect each other’s personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time.

“They are both committed to their careers and personal growth. They remain friends and wish each other the best.”
A spokesperson for Full Scope insisted they were “completely false and fabricated and not created, published or authorized by this agency.”
Kelce recorded his 917th career catch, breaking Tony Gonzalez’s franchise record, during Sunday’s game that had NFL pundits declaring him “back.”
Swift may have to miss more games this season when she hits the road again on October 18 for the North American leg of her Eras Tour, which ends in December.
