Turner told the Cairns Post his wife was ‘distraught’ over the incident.
“No one should rush the stage and everyone felt for the young girl, but my wife reacted instinctively,” he said.
“I closed the show to get her medical attention and physically put her in an ambulance. I also took care of my wife, who was desperate.’
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed a woman in her 20s was taken to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition. She’s been fired.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Turner for comment.
Turner released his debut studio album Women Weed & Wordplay in October 2018.
