Queen Maxima takes New York! King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and his glamorous wife put on a loved-up display as they tour the Big Apple

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands put on a display of love during their tour of New York City today.

The Dutch King and Queen ended the final part of their four-day tour of America on a high with an arm-in-arm walk through the area, meeting locals and admiring some of the city’s best-known sights.

They looked striking in matching ensembles: the queen in an elegant blue dress with sheer patterned material across the top and her husband in an electric blue suit with light blue tie that complemented the lighter tones of Maxima’s ensemble.

The couple posed against the backdrop of the Hudson River and the impressive New York skyline, before taking a stroll arm in arm along the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima arrived in America on Monday for a four-day tour of America, starting their visit in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, before traveling north to Albany and New York City.

During their tour of New York, Willem-Alexander and Maxima also visited East Flatbush, a neighborhood in Brooklyn.

They met local residents and learned more about their empowering community projects and the urban challenges they face around climate, affordable housing and building a resilient society.

The Dutch royal couple were pictured strolling around the neighborhood with local residents dressed in equally colorful attire as they visited the Brooklyn locations.

They also visited some of the various businesses, including a barbershop and a coffee shop, to learn more about local commerce in the residential East Flatbush neighborhood.

This was followed by a visit to Newlab in the Brooklyn Navy Yards, home to more than 800 entrepreneurs and inventors.

It was a busy trip for the Dutch royal family, who made numerous appointments during their four-day tour.

Yesterday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima left Albany, New York for New York City, after a tour of NY Creates, a technology center for semiconductor research and development.

The couple also posed against the iconic backdrop of the Hudson River and the impressive New York skyline

During the visit to Brooklyn, the Dutch royal family spoke with residents and organizations about urban challenges, such as climate, affordable housing and a resilient society

Here Maxima and her husband donned protective clothing to enter the cleanroom, before quickly changing to meet with New York Governor Kathy Hochul and her husband William J. Hochul Jr., along with the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Trade and Development Liesje Schreinemacher.

On Tuesday, the couple was in Savannah for a meeting with Mayor Van Johnson, who expressed how happy he was that the royal family was visiting.

“We are so honored to have His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen here in our beautiful city today,” Johnson said to kick off a roundtable discussion between city staff and Dutch dignitaries.

“Today is a day for us to create and talk about opportunities – opportunities we can explore and opportunities we can expand.”

While in Savannah, the King and Queen also visited Savannah State University, where they appeared on stage with students during a marching band performance.

They also toured the Port of Savannah, the fourth busiest U.S. seaport for containerized cargo, and strolled the city’s historic district, which was founded by British colonists in 1733.

The Dutch royal family’s Four Days of America started Monday in Atalanta, where they met Governor Brian Kemp at the Georgia Capitol and toured the cemetery of Martin Luther King Jr.. The tour ends today.
