The former brother-in-law of the Queen of Spain has revealed he is preparing to publish his own tell-all book.
British businessman Jaime del Burgo shocked the world in November by claiming he and Letizia were partners before he married her younger sibling Telma Ortiz, from whom he is now divorced.
He then made the astonishing claim that he and the former news anchor talked about starting their own family and a new life together in the United States during a “secret romance” while she was still with Spanish King Felipe.
Del Burgo made many of his allegations in an explosive book he contributed to and published in November by royal expert Jaime Penafiel, called 'Letizia y Yo' – English for 'Letizia and I'.
Now he has revealed he is preparing his own autobiographical book – 'Nothing More Than the Truth' – in another hammer blow to the Spanish royal family, which has so far responded with silence.

The lawyer and entrepreneur said in a tweet: 'This week, 12co Books and 12co Libros were founded to publish the autobiographical 'And Nothing But The Truth' in 2024.
'This means we have the entire process, editing, printing and distribution in our own hands.
'It will be accessible in e-book format for Apple and Kindle and available for purchase in leading bookstores in Spain and Latin America, as well as in North America and some European countries.
'It is translated into English, German, Italian and French.
'The physical book will represent a new system in the publishing industry to prevent plagiarism, copies and leaks.'
He added: 'Profits from And Nothing But the Truth will be transferred in full to a Spanish charity (to be announced)'
The 53-year-old father-of-two sparked controversy late last year by posting an updated selfie the Spanish queen took in a bathroom mirror during one of her pregnancies as 'proof' of their alleged romance.
It showed her wearing a pashmina that he claimed to have given her.

He also reposted a message allegedly sent to him by Letizia, which read: “Love. I'm wearing your pashmina. It's like I feel you by my side. It takes care of me. It protects me. I'm counting down the hours until we meet again, until I love you, until I leave here. Yours.'
Del Burgo deleted the claim and others he had uploaded to
Before his controversial tweets, he had contributed to veteran journalist Jaime Penafiel's book on Letizia, which many mainstream Spanish media had surprisingly given little or no mention of.
Del Burgo, who divorced Telma Ortiz by mutual consent in 2016, four years after they married and two years after they split, claimed in the book that he carried an engagement ring in his pocket during a meeting at the Ritz Hotel in Madrid with his 'then'. girlfriend' Letizia in 2002 when she told him she had fallen in love with the future king of Spain.

On Boxing Day, Jaime shared with his 23,000 followers the 'four stages of the relationship' with Letizia
He claimed that he had become friends with Felipe after they met and that he was asked by Letizia to be best man at their wedding on May 22, 2004.
Jaime also made the incredible claim that the Queen wanted to see him at the exclusive El Latigazo restaurant in Madrid the night before the wedding – where she asked him to 'never leave her'.
He said in quotes that Jaime Penafiel said he obtained through emails and phone calls with del Burgo, now married to a lawyer named Lucia Diaz Liljestrom: “When we met, she grabbed my hand and asked me why I that had never asked marry me. Of course I didn't answer. I encouraged her as best I could. The last thing she said to me before we said goodbye in that restaurant was a request: 'Never leave me.'”
The businessman claimed that their romantic relationship originated in Venice and dated back more than twenty years.
He also recalled a moment he said took place after Princess Leonor's birth, when they lay together in a hammock by a pool, saying in Penafiel's book: “Letizia told me 'I love you' and I replied 'I love you'.'

He listed them in his claim as: '1) Love affair, from 2002 to 2004; 2) Friends and Confidants, from 2004 to 2010; 3) Long-term and ongoing love affair, 2010 and 2011; 4) As brothers-in-law, from 2012 to 2016.'
He further writes: 'It is the third relationship that ends abruptly after two years, a few months after the abdication of Letizia as Princess of Asturias, the divorce from Felipe and the settlement as a couple in New York, which we had planned.'
In another post, he claimed that he and Letizia had discussed the issue of Felipe's divorce and that they had sought legal advice, adding: “We considered New York as the best option for permanent residence, the idea that we would have a child through a surrogate mother in Los Angeles. Angeles was asked to marry me.'
Telma Ortiz is now dating Irish lawyer Gavin Bonnar and the couple welcomed their first child together in October 2021. Gavin shares two children with his first wife, musician Sharon Corr.
On her recent album The Fool & The Scorpion, Sharon wrote lyrics that included “the queen's crazy sister” – which fans speculated were inspired by her children's new stepmother.
Neither the Spanish royal family nor Letizia have commented on the claims aired repeatedly and very publicly by Jaime del Burgo or Jaime Penafiel.
Referring to the scandal earlier this month, a spokesperson for the Spanish royal family told FEMAIL: “We have no comment on this.”
Before Christmas, Jaime cryptically emphasized in a social media post that “the truth will come out.”
