Qantas app security breach: Urgent investigation underway after users logging into the app are able to see strangers’ personal details

Qantas is investigating reports of a security breach this morning.

Daily Mail Australia understands customer names, flight details and boarding passes that have appeared on strangers’ mobile apps.

In a statement, the airline said it was looking into it.

Many Qantas app users reported the app problem on social media.

‘The Qantas app has completely destroyed the bed. It shows the names of random people. Random people’s boarding passes.

“I can change their seats. I can transfer points. Complete security breach of the entire system.

Another said: ‘I went on the app today to check all my trips and noticed I was logged into an obscure frequent flyer account.

‘My journeys were all there, but the name, status and displayed points of the upcoming journeys were all wrong. Every time I force quit the app there was a different person.

“I’m worried the same thing is happening to my account somewhere.”
