Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands was a picture of joy when she helped release a sea turtle during her two-week tour of the Dutch Caribbean islands.

Accompanied by her parents King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, the princess embarked on a tour of the picturesque islands over the past week.

After visiting Bonaire and Aruba, the Dutch royals are now on Curacao until Monday, before heading to St Maarten, St Eustatius and Saba next week.

On Friday, 19-year-old Amalia was photographed releasing a sea turtle back into the wild during a visit to Sea Turtle Conservation Curaçao as Máxima looked on.

Later, the family embarked on a tour of the Hofi Mango plant area and visited the Jump-In Tumba Festival on the seventh day of their tropical adventure.

Máxima, 51, has become known for her vibrant looks, and today she did not disappoint in a bright blue V-neck dress, wide-brimmed hat, nude heels and colorful blue, black and white earrings.

At one point in the day, the Dutch royal family posed for a photograph together against a stunning backdrop of rolling Caribbean hills covered in lush vegetation.

The family’s vibrant outfits complemented each other, and Princess Amalia opted for a deep blue patterned gown. She also opted for a sun hat to shield her eyes from the beautiful weather.

Meanwhile, King Willem-Alexander donned a light purple dress shirt and fancy pants, of course, accompanied by a pair of fancy sunglasses.

It comes after Maxima and Willem-Alexander celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in Curacao on Thursday with a day of royal visits.

Thursday was the sixth day of the family tour of the Dutch Caribbean, which has been organized to introduce the young Princess of Orange to the islands.

The royal group toured the Otrobanda district, speaking with residents and artists and watching musical performances.

In the afternoon, the royal entourage visited the districts of Punda and Scharloo, for the King to mint a coin to mark Willemstad’s 25th anniversary as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

They then went on a walking tour, culminating at the Princess Amalia Bridge, where the group heard the Amalia Waltz, a piece composed for the Princess.

They enjoyed lunch with representatives of the Curacao authorities at the Governor’s Palace, before an evening dinner at the Van Doornen Cathedral.

The dinner was organized with the attendance of 21 residents who make a valuable contribution to their community. The number of guests was chosen to reflect the royal couple’s 21st wedding anniversary on that day.

The family will enjoy some free time at the weekend, before heading to Saint Marteen.
