Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will stay in luxury £2,000-a-night Presidential Suite complete with yoga mat, rain shower and 65in TV at 5* hotel for Invictus Games in Germany this weekend
Prince Harry’s popularity may be waning, but he will be at a peak during his stay in Germany for the Invictus Games, as he will stay in a sky-high presidential suite at a luxury hotel.
He will be given a £2,000 overnight suite with stunning views over the Rhine and will be joined by his wife Meghan at the luxury residence later next week.
The spacious suite on the 17th floor of the Hyatt Regency hotel in Düsseldorf will be his base for the next eight days.
On Saturday evening he will launch the sporting event for wounded and disabled military veterans and attend the week-long event, stopping by to cheer on competitors in events such as archery, swimming and wheelchair rugby.
Staff at the five-star hotel – which boasts a large terrace overlooking the Rhine and a silver bubble-shaped bar – remained tight-lipped about their VIP guest whose popularity in Britain has fallen from more than 70% to 32% after his repeated swipes at the Royal family.

A police motor cruiser is parked near the hotel to increase security before Harry arrives.
Because the Games are organized by the Bundeswher, the German army, there are also a number of uniformed personnel around the hotel.
Members of the management team for the Games are being booked into the hotel and Harry will check in when he arrives on Saturday morning after his short visit to Britain.
During the 2022 Games in The Hague, Harry and Meghan stayed in a royal suite at the city’s Hilton Hotel. Invictus management was also booked into the same hotel so that meetings could be held between the team.
His presidential suite features a king-size bedroom with panoramic views of the 250-meter-high Rhienturm, a telecommunications tower that dominates the German city’s skyline.
The presidential suite has a separate living area, a kitchenette and a bathroom with a walk-in rain shower.
The hotel describes the massive 158 m² accommodation as a ‘premium suite’.
There are also two 65″ TVs, one in the bedroom and the other in the living room.
As a fan of meditation and yoga, Meghan will be pleased to discover that the suite comes with its own yoga mat.
Meghan is known to be a big fan of yoga and previewed her routine in the Netflix documentary series about their life after the royal family’s divorce and their new life in California.
The suite is also equipped with ‘soft’ bathrobes and slippers and a stereo system.
Located in a part of Düsseldorf known as the Media Harbour, the hotel also has its own spa offering cosmetic treatments and wellness packages.
Although Harry and Meghan will likely eat most of their meals in their room, they have the option of dining at a French-American brasserie that also has a RAW bar.

Previous guests raved about the hotel, one of the most expensive in the city.
An American tourist who stayed at the hotel wrote on the TripAdvisor site: ‘It is large, expensive and designed for business travelers. But it also has a hip, stylish side. The rooms could use some updating, but are luxurious and have great views from the hotel’s harbour.’
Another wrote: ‘Spectacular hotel. Excellent location and attentive staff. Very modern. Food service was very good. The best part of the stay was the suite – fantastic views and large room. One of the best we have ever stayed in. Also a good price.’
A fleet of passenger cars with tinted windows are parked outside the hotel to transport the Invictus Management team to the venue in the Merkur Spiel-Arena.
More than 500 participants from 21 countries take part in the games sponsored by the American company Boeing.
Organizers predict that up to 100,000 people will attend the games, which will conclude with a speech from Prince Harry and a six-song set from singer Rita Ora.
Teams from all over the world all arrived in Dusseldorf and were met at the airport by the Games’ mascot, a brown bear named Buddy.
The British team, friends and family flew from Birmingham on an RAF transport plane. Among the 59 members, 15 are still serving in the military, while the others are retired.
The captain of the British team, Lieutenant Commander James Rogers, said: “Whether we are veterans or still serving, we are one team heading into the Games and I am immensely proud of how much everyone has achieved in this process . It has brought with it a sense of camaraderie and excitement, as well as noticeable physical and mental health benefits.”
