Prime suspect: Shocking moment Amazon delivery driver steals 12-year-old boy’s bike left in the front garden in brazen daylight theft
- Kyren Wheeldon was left heartbroken by the theft of his mountain bike
This is the shocking moment an Amazon delivery person steals a 12-year-old boy’s bike left in a front yard.
Mother Beckie Wheeldon said her son Kyren was left ‘heartbroken’ by the brazen daylight robbery on February 15 in Bulwell, Nottinghamshire.
Kyren had ridden his bike 20 minutes to a friend’s house and left his Carrera in their front yard around 4 p.m.
About half an hour later, the delivery person is seen on camera footage arriving with a package in front of the house, which he leaves in a garbage bin. As he walks back to the van, he glances at the bike before getting out of shot.

Moments later, he is seen picking up the bike before calmly wheeling it to the Amazon van, which then drives away.
When Kyren returned a few hours later, he discovered his bike was gone and called his mother while ‘crying his eyes out’ about his lost bike.
Mum Beckie said: ‘This is heartbreaking for him. He cried his eyes out on the phone and told me what happened.
‘I thought he was just a normal young boy who stole the bike to get some money.

‘You never thought it would be a delivery person. He absolutely loved that bike. I was angry and upset with him.”
Kyren received the mountain bike as a Christmas present last year and Beckie said it was ‘his way of socialising’ as he rode it at the local BMX track near his home.
An Amazon spokesperson confirmed that the delivery company “will no longer deliver packages.”
They said: ‘We have very high standards for the delivery service providers we work with and how they serve customers.
‘We take this matter seriously and have contacted the customer to rectify this. The delivery person will no longer deliver Amazon packages.’
A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police confirmed they are investigating the bike theft on February 15.
