Pregnant Laura Anderson has admitted she feels “defeated” after struggling to harvest her colostrum.
The Love Island star, 34, is expecting her first child, a girl, with on-off boyfriend Gary Lucy, 41, and is due to give birth any day now.
The TV personality gave her Instagram followers an update on the first step of her breastfeeding journey on Sunday and offered a preview of her baby’s nursery through her Stories.
Laura’s baby room was furnished with a cot, nursing chair, toys and diaper changing station in a mostly neutral color scheme.
But despite everything looking good in the nursery, the reality star admitted she felt “defeated” after struggling to harvest her colostrum on the first try.

Colostrum is the first form of milk produced by an expectant mother, with many women choosing to collect their first droplets.
She told her followers, “Lil nursery sneak peek. My second attempt to harvest colostrum was a success. The first time I gave up because it was just droplets. I felt defeated. I won’t lie.
“This morning I slapped it again, going drop by drop between the two nipples, and the syringe filled.
‘The sense of accomplishment. Our bodies are just crazy.’
The former flight attendant is expecting her first baby with her on-off boyfriend Gary Lucy after the two met on Celebs Go Dating.
Earlier this month, she was spotted with the soap star at the Gleneagles Hotel, sparking speculation that the two estranged lovebirds were back together before birth.
The couple confirmed they had split shortly after announcing they were expecting their first child together in February.
They had an acrimonious breakup that saw them target each other in scathing messages, and it was alleged that Gary shared the news of their child’s gender without asking Laura.

However, it is now rumored that the pair have reunited and seem to have mended things with a trip to the £800-a-night Gleneagles hotel.
Despite appearing to have rekindled their romance, Gary’s reps confirmed that they are just spending time together prior to the birth.
They confirmed to MailOnline: “They’re not back together, it’s just close to birth.”
In February, Laura insisted she and Gary were “absolutely not” on good terms, just weeks after news of their split broke.
When a curious fan asked her during a Q&A, “Any chance you and Gary could get back together?”.
Laura simply replied, “No,” before saying that she “hopes that once the baby arrives,” she and Gary can successfully co-parent.
The couple split shortly after announcing their pregnancy in February, saying they were determined to keep things civil for the sake of their child.
Just weeks later, Laura was said to be “shocked and upset” after Gary revealed their baby’s gender after sharing an ultrasound photo.
He shared a photo of a recent scan in his Instagram Story, and an image that read, “Daddy’s girl.”
A source told MailOnline at the time: ‘Gary broke the gender news without checking if Laura was okay with it.
“She is extremely shocked and upset by this and hoped to do something special for it later this year.”
