Gogglebox star Ellie Warner has revealed that she is suffering from a worrying health condition while pregnant with her first child.
During Friday’s episode of the Channel 4 show, the 32-year-old hairdresser revealed she has gestational diabetes as she sat down to watch The Apprentice with her sister Izzi.
Ellie first announced she was expecting with her boyfriend Nat Eddleston on an episode of the show last December, in which she discussed getting an ultrasound.
And now, as she prepares to welcome the little one, Ellie shared the worrying health update while joking about Lord Alan Sugar.
When the BBC show started, Ellie quipped: “Alan Sugar is my only fix of sugar now that I have gestational diabetes.”

Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar that can develop at any time during pregnancy, but it is most common in the second or third trimester and usually goes away after the baby is born.
It occurs when hormones produced during pregnancy make it difficult for your body to use insulin properly, increasing the risk of insulin resistance.
Treatment focuses on controlling blood sugar levels through diet, exercise, and sometimes medication.
It comes just weeks after Ellie revealed the gender of her little one during a recent episode of Gogglebox, sharing that she’s expecting a baby!
The TV personality appears on the Channel 4 show with her sister Izzy, and the pair discuss the new arrival during filming.
Joined by Izzi’s children, Bessie and Bobby, Ellie explained that they were going to have a little boy cousin, while asking them to say hello to the bump.
‘Bessie, what’s in Ellie’s tummy? What baby?’ Izzi asked her daughter during the show, who replied: ‘A boy’.
Relaxed on the sofa, the mom-to-be showed off her bump by pulling up her sweatshirt to show the kids her tummy, which was covered in leather-look leggings.

Izzi continued: ‘Are you going to say hello to the baby? Come on, use your voice, say, “Hi, I’m Bessie.”
While Ellie said to her niece: ‘Do you know that the baby can hear you?’
The sisters were trying to get Bobby to show up for the bump as well, to which the young man replied, “No, not yet.”
In This Together: It’s a family affair as Ellie’s other sister, Katie, is also expecting a new arrival, and the couple are thrilled to be raising the little ones together.
Again confirming for the first time that it’s a little boy, she told him: ‘Are you happy you’re going to have a boy cousin, Bobby?’, to which he confirmed.
The hairdresser had excitedly revealed her pregnancy in the last episode of the previous series just before Christmas, sweetly showing her sister a baby scan.
It’s a family affair as Ellie’s other sister, Katie, is also expecting a new arrival, and the couple are thrilled to be raising the little ones together.
Sharing a snapshot of her sister’s baby shower last month, Ellie enthused: “Today was a fabulous day at our lovely Katie’s baby shower.” I can’t wait for our babies to grow up together.
