Funny: In a caption, Gemma said her three-year-old daughter Mia is ‘thrilled’ by the news and joked that her son would be named ‘Barbie’ if it were after her daughter

“Although we may have to negotiate a bit on names, as so far she’s convinced she’s going to be called Barbie.”

Earlier this month at Steph’s Packed Lunch, Gemma said her second pregnancy has been more difficult than her first, because she didn’t have any symptoms the first time.

She said: ‘With Mia I had no symptoms…right after two or three weeks, my breasts were sore, I was nauseated. I told Gorka, I need to do a test…’

When asked if they had chosen a name, he added: “I would like a Spanish element because they are half Spanish.” But I told Gorka, you have to be careful because they are going to have an accent like mine.

“They are growing up in Manchester, we can’t say ‘good, Pedro’… It has to be something that sounds good in Mancunian.”

Gemma and Gorka got engaged in February 2021, four years after they met on Strictly Come Dancing. They welcomed their first daughter, Mia, on July 4, 2019.

Earlier this month, Gemma admitted that she would consider signing a prenup to preserve her personal wealth if she ever marries Spanish dancer Gorka.

She explained: ‘From 15 to 33 before I met Gorka, everything I got for myself during that time as property, which is still mine, is still in my name.

Struggle: Appearing on Steph’s Packed Lunch earlier this month, Gemma said her second pregnancy has been more difficult than her first, because she didn’t have any symptoms the first time.

‘With the coexistence with Gorka, especially with Mia, we share everything fifty percent… The same thing happens to him. He has had his dance career since he was 16 years old and he has things in Spain that have nothing to do with me.

‘We have said everything that he has before meeting me and I have before meeting him, that is ours. Anything now belongs to our family.

But if we were to get married, we would also do the prenuptial agreement. Just to be sensible about it and protect Mia more than anyone.

Elsewhere last year, Gemma also opened up about her experience of PTSD following the birth of her daughter Mia.

Speaking in a film for Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4, the star reflected on her birth experiences, admitting she blamed herself for “failing”.

Gemma needed an emergency C-section when Mia’s heart rate dropped suddenly during labor. She suffered a hemorrhage after delivery, losing almost a liter of blood.

The Emmerdale actress describes Mia as “the best thing that ever happened to me” and after her birth, she took to social media to share her experience.

Speaking on Channel 4, he said: ‘All these things were going through my mind, what did I do that caused all of this to happen? She told myself for weeks and weeks that she had failed the birth.

‘I had horrible dreams that someone was going to take Mia away from me. I remember my mother running into my room and I was sitting there screaming, sweating.

Gemma spoke the words of her mother that finally changed her mind, adding: “We went out with the pram and a lady said: ‘Oh, I believe it.’ [the birth] It wasn’t a hit it was, you know, what happened?”

“My mum stepped in and said, ‘It was a huge hit, Mia’s there, Gemma’s here, a total hit.’ Then something clicked in me, my body was proud because it had come back and it helped me.”
