A popular influencer has died in a horrific accident after she was hit by two vehicles while crossing a highway.
Demaris D. Martinez, 28, died in the early morning hours of Saturday while attempting to cross Route 17 on foot in Paramus, New Jersey.
Police arrived at the scene after a report came in around 3:30 a.m. that a pedestrian had been hit. The woman had been hit by a car and then by a truck.
Officials said she was first hit by a white Kia driven by a 42-year-old man and then by a tractor-trailer driven by a 65-year-old man.
Martinez, from Hillsdale, was popular on YouTube and Facebook, where he had nearly 50,000 followers.

In a post from February of this year, she wrote that she had found God and that she was also studying to become a lawyer.
According to Martinez, her faith has helped her overcome obstacles in her life. She was born and raised in Miami, Florida.

Local authorities, including the Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
