“I didn't hit Jayson in the face and no one was arrested. “I will consult with my attorney regarding the false claims he has made against me and evaluate all of my legal options.”

Jayson then called police and told them he was a “victim of domestic violence,” Boebert's assistant said. Lauren called a police non-emergency number and said she would like to talk to an officer about what happened.

Lauren's assistant told the Beast that she purposely chose the restaurant to meet him for the apology because she didn't want a “he said/she said” situation.

Police arrived at the Silt restaurant and a friend eventually drove Boebert home.

The Sludge Police Division confirmed an active investigation is underway. No one was arrested. When the Beast asked for comment, Jayson told them, “I don't know what to say.”
