Sydney’s fashion elite gathered to celebrate Vogue Australia’s new editor-in-chief, Christine Centenera, at a lavish party at Bondi Icebergs on Tuesday night.
Christine, who was previously the magazine’s fashion director, was officially promoted to the top role this week, replacing Edwina McCann.
The exclusive event featured an all-star guest list, including PE Nation founder Pip Edwards, beauty guru Zoë Foster Blake, actress Nicole Kidman and her husband, country musician Keith Urban.

Other high-profile guests included Lisa Wipfli, the wife of Nova radio host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli, influencer Nicole Warne and fashion designer Dion Lee.
Pip shared a gallery of photos from the party on Instagram along with a gushing tribute to her longtime friend.
“Congratulations to one of the most talented, passionate and hard-working friends I know, Christine Centenera, on her exceptional appointment as Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Australia,” said the sportswear designer.

Christine went for a classic look, rocking an off-the-shoulder black maxi dress and red lipstick.
Pip turned heads in a bold shirt from Acne Studios valued at $660 and a pair of $500 flared pants from Jean Paul Gaultier.

Zoë also praised Christine, sharing a photo of the couple posing arm in arm.

She then posed for a photo with her best friend Lisa, who was also dressed in black, writing in the caption, “So serious (and wearing black because it’s a Vogue event).”
Zoë Foster Blake also praised Christine, sharing this photo of the couple posing arm in arm.

Christine, who also has her own Wardrobe.NYC label, has worked for Vogue Australia since 2012.
The mother-of-two will continue to report to McCann, who has been promoted to managing editor and editor of Vogue Australia.
Its first issue will be March 2023, with the red carpet set to change the title.

Christine is best known for styling many A-list celebrities, including Naomi Campbell, Kim Kardashian (pictured), Giselle, Hailey Bieber, and Gigi Hadid.
She will continue to report to former editor-in-chief Edwina McCann (left), who has been promoted to managing editor and editor.
Christine, who will continue to work in Australia, the UK and the US, added: “I love being so close to the amazing photographers and people we work with on the pages, wherever we are in the world.”
