Pink has announced that she will headline London’s BST Hyde Park Festival next summer, her first UK appearance in four years.
The summer event saw hitmakers Adele and Duran Duran take the stage earlier this year, and now pop megastar Pink will do the same in 2023.
The Grammy winner was last in the UK when she took her ‘Beautiful Trauma World Tour’ across the pond in 2019.
Megastar: Pink has announced six major outdoor shows in the UK as part of its Summer Carnival 2023 – and will headline London’s BST Hyde Park (pictured in California last month)
As part of its Summer Carnival 2023, the ‘So What’ hitmaker kicks off with two nights at the University of Bolton Stadium on June 7 and 8, followed by a couple of performances at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on June 10 and June 11.
She will then play at Birmingham’s Villa Park on June 14, before headlining American Express Presents BST Hyde Park in London on June 24.
She said of the news: ‘It’s been three long years and I’ve missed the live music so much… So it’s finally here!
“I’m so excited to go back to the UK and Europe to sing, cry, sweat and make new memories with my friends. It’s going to be magical!’
Performer: The hitmaker, who gushed that she missed the live performance ‘so much’, will return to Europe next year for a string of shows (pictured last month)
Special guests will be announced in due course and tickets for the six shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. on October 14 via Ticketmaster.
In addition to Bolton, Sunderland, Birmingham and London, Pink will also visit Werchter in Belgium, Landgraaf in the Netherlands and Paris, France for its European Summer Carnival.
Last year around this time it was revealed that Pink was the most played female artist in the UK since the early 21st century, according to music licensing company PPL.
Behind the Just Give Me a Reason singer were singers like Madonna, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Beyonce and many more.
Iconic: This year, Adele, the Rolling Stones and Duran Duran performed in front of thousands on stage in the massive summer show
Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, has released eight solo albums and one collaborative album under the band name You+Me with musician Dallas Green.
Other singers made it to the list with far fewer songs the radio could play. For example, Adele, who came in sixth, has only released three studio albums.
Other artists have a much bigger library than Pink, but she still beat them. Madonna has been making music for decades but still ended up behind the Sober singer.
Pink joins Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and Billy Joel, as other headlines have already confirmed for next summer’s BST series.
Star-studded lineup: Adele stunned audiences with her return to the UK stage after a long hiatus
Meanwhile, Pink stole the show last week at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert in Los Angeles, teaming up with Queen and Foo Fighters for a rousing cover of “Somebody To Love.”
The hitmaker ‘Trouble’ released the rock song adored by the late drummer – who died tragically in March at age 50 – featuring Dave Grohl and co and Queen’s own Brian May and Roger Taylor at the Kia Forum on September 27.
Pink also played Foo Fighters’ “The Pretender” and duet with Heart’s Nancy Wilson on “Barracuda.”
Pink wrote on her Instagram story after her set: “I hate why we were there, but I love that we were all together.”
Ahead of her performances in Europe next summer, Pink wrote to her 8.9 million followers in an Instagram post.
