Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason has said there is no way the band members… David Gilmour And Roger Waters will ever be friends again, after their decades-long feud.
Bassist Roger, 80, left the band in 1985 after unsuccessfully trying to stop the remaining members from using the Pink Floyd name.
Despite the ongoing controversy, 80-year-old Nick revealed that he is convinced that AI could make music, as if Roger had never been away.
Speak with The mirrorNick said: ‘It would be fascinating to see what AI could do with new music. If you tried to run it as a kind of, “Where did Pink Floyd go?”
“It should be an AI situation where David and Roger become friends again. We could be like ABBA by the time we’re done with it.”

Roger left the band in 1985 after unsuccessfully trying to stop the remaining members from using the Pink Floyd name, but despite the ongoing drama, drummer Nick Mason believes AI could create music as if Roger had never left.
Pink Floyd, known for albums such as The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here, last performed together at the charity concert Live 8 in 2005.
Original members Syd Barrett died in 2006 and pianist Richard Wright died in 2008 from lung cancer.
Nick went on to say that he regrets that the feud has overshadowed the band’s achievements.
He mused: ‘In a career that’s spanned 55 years, most of it has been a lot of fun. We’ve been incredibly privileged to be in a successful band and tour the world and hang out with really interesting people. It’s a golden ticket to meet all sorts of favourite sportsmen and actors.’
Nick now plays early Pink Floyd songs with his band Saucerful of Secrets, which also features Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet.
He said he enjoys continuing the legacy because time gives their history a “rosier glow.”
The band got its name because two of Syd Barrett’s favorite blues musicians from Carolina were called Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. He merged the two.
The Dark Side of the Moon was for a time the best-selling album in the world, and it apparently sold so well that one in twelve people owns a copy.

When Roger Waters left Pink Floyd, he immediately came into conflict with 78-year-old David Gilmour, who became embroiled in a lengthy legal battle.
Roger issued a statement to EMI and CBS, invoking the ‘Leaving Member’ clause in his contract, stating that Pink Floyd could not continue without him.
In October 1986, he tried to dissolve the band through the Supreme Court, calling the band “a creative failure.”
David Gilmour and Nick Mason opposed Roger Waters, claiming the band could continue making new music.
In 1987, Waters reached an agreement with his former bandmates and resigned, citing commercial pressures that would otherwise have resulted in significant financial losses.
Speaking to the BBC in 2013, he admitted that breaking up the band was not the right thing to do: “I was wrong! Of course I was wrong,” he said, before adding: “Who cares? It’s one of the few times that being a lawyer has taught me anything.”
