Pete Wicks risks his chance at Strictly success as it’s revealed he will skip training to be a ‘flower girl’ at best friend Vicky Pattison’s lavish Italian wedding

Vicky Pattison has revealed that she has given Pete Wicks the unique task of being her ‘flower girl’ at her lavish Italian wedding on Wednesday, meaning the TOWIE star will miss crucial hours in the Strictly training room.

On Tuesday’s episode of Lorraine, Vicky was a guest to talk about her upcoming wedding, her struggle with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) and Pete’s important role in her wedding.

The former Geordie Shore star, 36, hilariously revealed that Pete, also 36, will ’embrace his role as flower girl’ as he prepares to fly to Italy amid his busy Strictly schedule.

She told Lorraine Kelly: ‘Pete is embracing his role as flower girl. He’s arriving tonight and I’m sure he’ll show us some amazing moves as he walks down the aisle.’

She added: ‘When we found out he was going to be on Strictly, we had already planned for him to come to the wedding, so he’s flying back and forth really quickly.’

“He’s a really good friend, so this is a conflict for him.”

Vicky and Ercan Ramadan officially married in Marylebone in August, surrounded by their loved ones.

Now they are set to celebrate their union in style with a grand wedding in Puglia, all being captured for E4’s new series, Vicky Pattison: My Big Fat Geordie Wedding.

While discussing remarriage, Vicky explained to Lorraine that she now feels like a “seasoned professional” and that she is “less nervous” this time around.

She joked: ‘I feel like a seasoned professional now, I’m definitely less nervous.’

‘A wedding planner takes away a lot of stress and pressure.’

She then compared her wedding to a “zoo,” claiming she wouldn’t recommend having 160 people in the house.

She said: ‘It was beautiful. As any bride can tell you, it’s a stressful and exciting process, but on the day itself it was worth it.’

She told Lorraine: ‘Pete is embracing his role as flower girl. He arrives tonight and I’m sure he’ll show us some amazing moves as he walks down the aisle.’

She added: ‘When we found out he had the Strictly gig we had already planned for him to come to the wedding so he’s flying back and forth really quickly.’

“I will say, 160 people in your house, I can’t recommend it. It was a zoo.”

She added: ‘People are going to irritate you, your guests are going to irritate you. You have to accept that.’

“They’re going to miss flights or do what’s best for them. Let go of the expectation that it’s going to be smooth sailing in that sense. Do what makes you happy.”

Elsewhere in the day’s programme, Vicky appeared emotional as she talked about her battle with PMDD.

Vicky indicated that she often feels angry and anxious: ‘You feel angry, anxious, depressed and tired.’

“It’s really exhausting. I don’t know how my husband puts up with me sometimes.”

“I’m a big advocate of telling your truth and making sure women who are going through these things feel less alone.”

She added: ‘It just so happens that the luteal phase (where it’s at its worst) happened the week before both weddings. It was a bit rough.’

Vicky said: ‘Now that I am married to the love of my life again and surrounded by my friends and family, I feel incredibly lucky. I hope PMDD doesn’t win in this situation.’

Now they’re set to celebrate their union in style with a grand wedding in Puglia, all of which will be captured for E4’s new series, Vicky Pattison: My Big Fat Geordie Wedding

The extravagant event in Puglia will be packed with celebrities, including TOWIE’s Ferne McCann and Mario Falcone and even Bake Off’s Candice Brown, two of the 120 guests.

Vicky expressed her excitement about filming their journey for E4 by saying The Mirror: ‘Can you imagine if we showed our children the video? We’d think, “Look at your mother! Isn’t your father smart?”‘

She continued: ‘It felt natural to want to share this joy with everyone who follows my career and our relationship.’

‘Plus, weddings are expensive and every penny counts, so this was a no-brainer!’

Her husband Ercan, meanwhile, claimed that filming the show was “so much fun” and that they will “have it with us forever”.

The couple is not only thinking about happiness after the wedding, as Vicky revealed that she would like to start a family with Ercan after their wedding in Italy.

When discussing her future plans, Vicky said she had already frozen embryos. She will soon be 37 and “wanted to take some of the pressure off,” but she hopes to have children in the future.

Ercan claimed that they want to work and travel for another year, but in a year and a half they will try again.
