Pastor’s wife Mica Miller is seen in heart-wrenching new video detailing her struggle before her shock death

The wife of a pastor who committed suicide appears in a new video detailing her struggle before her death.

Mica Miller, 30, was found dead at Lumbee River State Park in North Carolina on April 27 after a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Her death came days after she served her husband John Paul Miller, 44, with divorce papers.

The pastor is accused of grooming her for years before they got married and admitting her to a hospital to steal her car, court documents show.

Footage has now emerged showing Miller apparently addressing close friends and family, referencing her struggles before her death.

In the video you hear her say: ‘I have had to keep my circle small these past few weeks.

“I’ve been through a lot and it’s hard, and it’s my cross to bear. It’s something God has placed in my life to deal with.

‘I don’t want to involve a lot of people. When your world is shaking, you need to take a break. I can only pray that more people will catch a break.

“I’m trying to get my priorities straight now, and that is making sure my heart is free from unforgiveness, bitterness and resentment.

“Just forgiveness, and hope for the future, and peace, because you can’t put a price on peace.

“Thank you for all your prayers and support, just know I have to keep my circle very small right now. This is the best way I know.’

In the days after her death, her friends and family held a rally calling for “justice for Mica” outside Solid Rock Church where Pastor Miller works.

The pastor surprised his congregants last week when, after a service in which he laughed and seemed completely at ease, he announced that his wife had died.

Miller, who has a criminal record that includes multiple charges of aggravated assault and battery to which he pleaded guilty, told his congregation that her death was “self-inflicted.”

In the days after her death, her friends and family held a rally calling for “justice for Mica” outside Solid Rock Church where Pastor Miller works.

“You all know she was mentally unwell and she needed her medication and it was difficult to get to her,” he said.

Before making the announcement, he asked his flock to stand and instructed them to “leave the church quietly and not talk about the announcement here in the building.”

Weeks before her death, she shared a video in which she spoke about spousal abuse after claims emerged that she was being harassed and was “afraid for her life.”

She said, “Today my heart is a little heavy. I’ve had a lot of women contact me about abusive situations, and I just want to tell you what a lot of people have been telling me lately because I think I’ve forgotten.

“But you are Christ’s bride before anyone else’s, male or female, it doesn’t matter what gender you are, abuse is abuse.”

Court records point to the marital turmoil with Mica first filing for divorce in October 2023 before withdrawing the filing on February 12.

Later that same month, Miller filed a motion against his wife for separate support and maintenance in a motion that was withdrawn on March 11.

But on April 15, just twelve days before she was found dead, Mica filed again and, according to friends, also for a restraining order against her husband.

A police report obtained by DailyMail.com shows Miller also contacted officers who accused her husband of sharing an indecent photo of himself on a Facebook group called “big breasts and nice curves.”

An obituary he wrote also described his wife as “a wonderful stepmother, a wonderful wife and helpful companion” and portrayed her as his biggest cheerleader.

Miller had called authorities before she killed herself, telling them, “I’m about to kill myself and I just want my family to know where to find me.”

Family and friends have insisted that Miller did not commit suicide. Her sister Sierra Brown previously told DailyMail.com that “an investigation is still ongoing.”

Friend Allicia Young, who is a member of Solid Rock Church with her husband Kenn, said, “I absolutely do not believe she committed suicide.”

“I absolutely do not believe she committed suicide because she was energetic and her faith in God was steadfast,” Allicia said at Banfield.

“She was always quick to encourage anyone else, including myself. We had lunch together, we trained together.”

Evidence released by Robeson County Sheriff’s Office as part of their investigation conclusively shows that Miller plans to end her life.

A still from a Ring doorbell shows her on her porch at 11 a.m. on the day of her death.

Just over an hour later, surveillance footage shows her entering Dick’s Pawn Shop, where she purchases a firearm.

Shortly thereafter, Miller’s black Honda was seen driving on Highway 501 near Four Mile Rd., Conway, South Carolina, en route to the state park.

Once there, she called 911 to give instructions to a dispatcher on where her body could be found.

Meanwhile, a waitress claims Pastor Miller sent her flirty messages while his wife was planning to commit suicide, including calling her “super hot” and asking for “bikini pictures.”

Pastor Miller has since been released from his ministerial positions at Solid Rock at Market Common Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
