Paris Hilton’s parents Kathy and Rick Hilton are over the moon after the star revealed that she and husband Carter Reum welcomed a baby boy via surrogate.
The 41-year-old socialite made the surprise announcement earlier this week by sharing a snapshot of herself holding the newborn’s hand.
Kathy and Rick, ages 63 and 67, respectively, released a statement to PEOPLE expressing her happiness for the arrival of her grandson.

Paris and Carter initially met through mutual friends and stayed in touch for over a decade before beginning their romance in 2019.
The two were spotted kissing the following year, and they went Instagram official in April.

Before getting engaged to a businessman, Paris revealed in a 2021 podcast interview that she had actually started the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process in mid-2020.
After two years of dating, Carter brought up the issue of Paris’ 40th birthday. The lavish wedding was held at the Bel-Air estate of Paris’s late grandfather, Barron Hilton, in November of that year.
Paris has spoken in detail about her IVF journey in several interviews.
But she was forced to come clean on the status of her path to parenthood after mom Kathy claimed the couple was struggling.
Kathy gave an emotional interview to ME! News where she said that it broke her “heart” that the reality star had not yet fulfilled her dream of being a mother.

In a previous interview with the outlet, Paris explained why she saw the start of the global pandemic as a good time to start the IVF process.
“We started going and doing it a few months later because the world was shut down,” he recalled.
The socialite added: “We knew we wanted to start a family, and I said, ‘This is the perfect time.'”
