Republican lawmakers are berating the IRS for being involved in an alleged “cover-up” scheme by the Biden administration to cover up Hunter Biden’s financial crimes.
According to a letter to Congress obtained by DailyMail.com, the IRS has removed the entire team investigating Hunter Biden’s tax returns “in retaliation against a whistleblower who alleged his colleagues covered up the financial crimes of the president’s son.” ‘.
Those dismissal orders came from the Justice Department, the whistleblower’s lawyers said in the letter Monday.
Following the whistleblower’s revelations, House GOP Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, RN.Y., accused the IRS of being “compliant” in the Biden administration’s “cover-up” of Hunter Biden’s illegal activities.
“The IRS is complicit in covering up Hunter Biden’s tax fraud,” Stefanik tweeted Tuesday. “There must be accountability.”

He questioned former IRS official John Fort about the situation, who said he had never seen a team handle a case in his “30 years” with the IRS.
