Former Big Brother star Skye Wheatley has been sued for shaming women who make a living from OnlyFans.
Wheatley, 28, who is considered one of Australia’s early influencers, made rude and judgmental comments about online sex workers in a recent YouTube video.
She said she was “furious” that some women in her industry are making good money by filming themselves performing sexual acts.

Wheatley, on the other hand, prides herself on being a more traditional influencer who earns a living endorsing brands on Instagram.
She made the divisive remarks during a conversation with fellow influencer Michael Finch.
“I’m sorry, let me pull out my dildo and fuck myself on OnlyFans,” said Wheatley, whose Instagram account features suggestive lingerie and bikini content, but nothing nude or X-rated.
“I like making my money by endorsing a product and liking a product organically and sharing it with my audience instead of fucking myself with a dildo and making money,” she continued.
Reality stars and influencers who have found success on OnlyFans include Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power and Hayley Vernon and TikToker Anna Paul.

Wheatley went on to say that OnlyFans was responsible for “ending marriages.”
“You know how many girls search their boyfriend’s phone and see that they’re secretly subscribed to a girl’s OnlyFans? That’s the end of a marriage there. It’s actually ridiculous!’ she said.
Her tirade was discussed this week on the Outspoken podcastthat documents the lives of Australian influencers and the social media marketing space.
The podcast’s hosts, triplets Amy, Sophie and Kate Taeuber, noted how Wheatley’s views are shared by many other influencers who broke through during the early days of Instagram.

“It seems there are now two groups of influencers, with the OGs thinking they are ‘better’,” said one of the sisters.
“It just sounded like she was annoyed that she either doesn’t make as much money as the creators of OnlyFans and has to throw it out by promoting products,” added another.
“Or it looks like maybe someone in her life has looked at this content and created dramas for someone else.”
The Taeubers also pointed out that Finch didn’t seem to weigh in on Wheatley’s comments, but simply said, “Freedom of speech. Freedom to talk…’
“I make my money by approving a product and liking a product organically and sharing it with my audience instead of fucking myself with a dildo and making money,” Wheatley said.
“I think what Skye said is extremely condescending and insulting,” said one of the sisters.
“I almost feel . . . that she seemed offended about something. I mean, she went on and on about how OnlyFans makers ruin marriages.
‘I think it’s very unfair to impose this on someone who does sex work. It is actually the man of the person who is looking for this content.’
While the sisters seemed unimpressed by Wheatley’s statements, the trio said it was interesting to watch OnlyFans divide influencers into two rival camps.

“It’s interesting that these two camps of influencers are being formed,” said one host.
“I want to know how that plays out in the future because there’s a secretive nature of OnlyFans that isn’t really talked about because you can’t even say ‘OnlyFans’ on Instagram without flagging the content.”
The sisters then suggested that some older influencers are “jealous” of their younger counterparts, such as OnlyFans star Anna Paul, who has a net worth of around $10 million, thanks in part to her popularity on the adult website.
“There are a lot of these influencers who are getting a little older and probably feeling a little more irrelevant,” said one of the Taeubers.

“Besides, they can’t make the money that OnlyFans’ best creators can make.”
Wheatley shares sons Forest and Bear with her longtime boyfriend Lachlan Waugh, whom she met on Tinder in 2017.
In addition to influencing and real estate development, she is co-founder of clothing label Good People Apparel.
