Oscars 2023 nominations: Everything Everywhere All at Once sweeps the board

Everything Everywhere All at Once and Banshees of Inisherin lead the Oscar nominations, as Top Gun garners five nominations, including Best Picture, giving producer Tom Cruise a shot at the first Academy Award.

Everything Everywhere All At Once is sweeping the Oscar nomination list so far, with Top Gun: Maverick ultimately earning nominations for sound and screenplay.

The award ceremony will be hosted on March 12 by Jimmy Kimmel. Allison Williams and Riz Ahmed announced the nominees Tuesday morning.

Only a few have been announced so far, including Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best Sound.

Along with Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Banshees of Inisherin garnered multiple nominations.

Last year’s drama with Will Smith and Chris Rock revived the hectic numbers, but also turned the prestigious event into a mockery.

This year’s awards season kicked off with the Golden Globes on January 10.
