“I can have up to three more fights. It’s most realistic to be in my top form, with Fury, Canelo and a farewell fight at Olympiyskiy,” Usyk said.

“With Canelo, he said he wanted to fight me. It would be a freak fight just to make money. People say I’m a freak. Why not?’

However, Usyk did admit that he only plans to defend his titles one more time – against Fury – before ending his career with two more spells for various reasons.

“I just have to beat Fury and then it’s time for me to retire,” he said.

“The unification of all the belts is much more important than just a fight or any other defense. I want to outbox Fury and I don’t want to work so much for another defense. There is much more I can achieve.

“It’s all about money with Canelo.”

Usyk is expected to eventually fight Fury, although the Briton is nearing a deal to fight Joshua next.

Meanwhile, Canelo recently defeated Gennady Golovkin in a trilogy fight and seems set on a rematch with Dmitry Bivol after a shocking defeat in May.

Usyk may therefore have to wait for his dream fights, but he understandably hopes he can carve out his career in his homeland, where he has returned after his victory over Joshua in the Russian invasion.
