NSW officers charged with assaulting naked mentally ill woman
Two police officers are charged after a naked and mentally ill woman was allegedly beaten, stomped and pepper sprayed on her genitals

- Both men face Penrith Court next month
Two police officers have been charged with assaulting a naked and mentally ill woman in western Sydney.
The incident occurred after police were called to Smith Street in Emu Plains to conduct a welfare check.
Senior Constable Nathan Black, 26, and Constable Timothy Trautsch, 27, then allegedly assaulted a 49-year-old woman they found naked in the street.
Police are accused of beating and stomping the unnamed woman before spraying her bare genitals with pepper spray.
Senior Constable Black is also accused of sharing the naked woman’s bodycam view following the alleged attack.

Following an investigation into the incident, NSW Police charged the officers on Friday.
Senior Constable Black was charged with assault involving actual bodily harm in the company of others, possession or use of a prohibited weapon without a permit, willful publication of protected information, willful recording of intimate imagery without consent and willful dissemination of intimate image without permission.
While Constable Trautsch was charged with assault with actual bodily harm in the company of others.
Both men worked as part of the Nepean Police Area Command.
Acting Deputy Commissioner David Waddell said the officers have stepped down and are suspended without pay.
Both will face Penrith local court on May 1.
