Major shipping companies and some retailers have announced holiday deadlines to ensure gifts reach their destinations in time for December 25.
With just over two weeks until the big day, which falls on a Monday this year, time is running out for Americans to ship packages without having to pay extra fees for fast delivery.
Some major stores, including Target, Walmart and Macy's, have not announced specific deadlines for shipping gifts, as deadlines vary by state and shipping options.
Below, we outline the cutoff dates for Americans to ship packages for each shipping company to ensure gifts are ready under the tree on Christmas Day.

USPS
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has outlined this differently deadlines depending on the shipping option.
December 16 is the cut-off date for 5-day shipping via ground service or first class mail.
For 4-day shipping by ground service or first class mail, the deadline this year is December 18th.
December 19 is the last day for 3-day shipping of First Class Mail, and December 20 is the last day for 2-day shipping of Ground Service, 2-day shipping of First Class Mail, 3-day shipping of Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express 2-Day Shipping.
Americans have until December 21 to ship via Priority Mail 2-Day Shipping or Priority Mail Express 1-Day Shipping.
International shipping deadlines vary by destination. Recommended deadlines are available from the USPS website.
USPS does not deliver regular mail on Christmas Day, and because Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year, Saturday, December 23 is the last scheduled day for regular delivery.

UPS
United Parcel Service has also set up final delivery dates based on the shipping type.
December 18 is the deadline for shipping packages via UPS Ground Shipping.
The last day to send Christmas gifts with UPS 3 Day Select is December 19, and for UPS 2nd Day Air it is December 20.
December 21 is the last day Americans can send gifts via UPS Next Day Air services.
FedEx
FedEx also released its own shipment deadlines for the holidays this year.
The last day to ship a package using FedEx Ground Economy services is December 13.
The cutoff date for FedEx Ground 5-day shipping is December 15 and for 1-day shipping is December 21.

Amazon
The e-commerce giant has not released any official deadlines for 2023.
In recent years, December 23 was the last day to order via one-day delivery, and December 24 was the last day to order via same-day delivery and two-hour grocery delivery.
Americans may be able to streamline the mailing process by ordering from Amazon and sending a gift directly to a family member or friend.
Barnes and Noble
Barnes and Noble, the largest bookseller in the U.S., is among the retailers that have released their holiday shipping limits dates.
Customers have until December 16 at noon ET to take advantage of standard shipping on orders over $40.
For express shipping the cut off date is December 18 at 11:59 PM ET and for expedited shipping on the last day it is December 19 at 11:59 PM ET.
For last-minute shoppers, Americans can opt for in-store pickup on December 24 at noon local time, or even order eGift Cards for immediate delivery on Christmas Day.

Goal
The retailer did not announce specific holiday shipping dates as delivery times depend on location.
However, there are some shipping issues options for customers. Items ordered with standard shipping are expected to arrive within three to five business days.
For two-day shipping, the order deadline is usually 12:00 noon local time the day before.
Target also offers same-day pickup or pick-up options for many items.
Walmart
The mega chain has also not announced any shipping deadlines until 2023.
Last year, December 22nd was the last day to order from Walmart, so gifts arrived before Christmas Day. But shoppers should aim to buy their gifts earlier this year as the big day falls on a Monday.
Walmart also offers two-day shipping and same-day delivery on select items, depending on location.
Sephora
To receive your order before Christmas Eve, the beauty company recommends with standard shipping before December 19th, 2-day shipping before December 20th, and one-day shipping before December 21st.
Etsy
Online marketplace deadlines vary depending on the type of shipping individual sellers use.
