Nikki Haley clings to hope in New Hampshire while ANOTHER Republican from her home state supports Nancy Mace Trump: Ex-South Carolina governor heads into primaries with a mountain to climb – but insists she will NOT drop out

Nikki Haley stormed through New Hampshire on Monday vowing to stay in the Republican Party’s presidential race, while another lawmaker from her home state endorsed Donald Trump and multiple polls show the former president with a double-digit lead.

Haley and Trump found themselves in a head-to-head race for the Republican nomination after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis dropped out of the race on Sunday and endorsed Trump.

The former president scored once again against the Republican representative. Nancy Mace endorsed Trump over Haley, who lives in her congressional district, and endorsed her in 2022 against a Trump-backed challenger.

‘I cannot fully agree with any candidate. And so far I’ve stayed out of it,” Mace said. “But the time has come to rally behind our nominee.”

Mace had stayed out of the race while two South Carolina politicians — Haley and Sen. Tim Scott — ran for office. Scott endorsed Trump on Friday evening.

Scott returns to Trump’s campaign stage Monday evening when he, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and Vivek Ramaswamy join Trump at his rally in Laconia, NH. All three former presidential candidates endorsed Trump when they left the Republican race.

Nikki Haley vows to stay in the Republican presidential race

Haley has insisted she will stay in the race despite pressure from Team Trump to drop out if she loses on Tuesday.

“Yesterday and today I looked at the entire political elite … and yesterday and today I looked at the entire media elite telling me to drop out and support Donald Trump,” she said Monday in New Hampshire.

“Donald Trump won 56,000 of Iowa’s 3 million voters. He got 1.5% of the vote in Iowa.”

Daily Mail is relying on video clips to report on Haley after banning Daily Mail from reporting on her campaign following the exclusive report that Haley falsely denied cheating on her husband when she was accused of having two extramarital affairs during her gubernatorial campaign in South Carolina in 2010.

Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller told reporters at Trump’s rally in Manchester on Saturday that Haley should drop out of the race and support Trump. He said polls show she has nowhere to go to win the nomination.

“There’s no place for Nikki Haley anywhere. Recent polls show her in South Carolina by 39 points,” Miller said, pointing to South Carolina officials who had endorsed Trump.

“Haley can’t go anywhere. So after President Trump wins on Tuesday, Nikki Haley will have to drop out.”

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, who is endorsing Haley, declined to say Sunday whether she plans to continue her campaign if she does not win the primary in her home state of South Carolina, where the next contest in the GOP nomination process is taking place . .

“To be honest, I don’t even look at that right now. I’m looking at the next 72 hours,” he said on NBC’s Meet the Press. ‘We’re going like gangbusters. She crosses the state. She touches every voter. She goes everywhere.”

But when pressed, he simply said, “That’s in a month. I mean, it’s really a month away.’

Trump has taken a swipe at Haley and touted the support he is receiving from officials in her home state. At his campaign rally in Manchester on Saturday, he brought out South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster, the state’s lieutenant governor, and a slew of other top officials to voice his support.

“Almost every politician from South Carolina supports me. How do you do that when you’re governor?,” Trump said of Haley, who served as governor of the state for six years.

Haley left the governor’s job to become Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations when he was president.

The former president told Fox News on Monday that he does not see how Haley can win the Republican nomination.

“I don’t see a path for her at all,” he said of her presidential campaign.

And he said he was ‘very angry’ with her for standing up to him after he appointed her ambassador to the UN

‘I would tell Nikki I didn’t do anything. “I am very angry with her,” he said. ‘She worked for me for two and a half years. She was fine. Not good. She was fine. She told everyone, if she left, I would never go against the president.”

South Carolina will hold its next primary, but it’s still about a month away: on February 24. Haley announced she will hold a campaign event in Charleston on Wednesday, the day after the New Hampshire primary.
