Nicolas Cage arrived in Western Australia on Monday to film his new film in the region.
And the first thing the Hollywood star did after landing was get some food for himself and his family.
The 59-year-old headed to the small town of Busselton, near Margaret River, where he will film his latest movie, The Surfer.
Cage and his wife, Riko Shibata, 28, entered Busselton Food of Asia with their infant daughter, August, and picked up $400 worth of Asian goods, including Japanese sauces, kimchi and fried rice, as well as eggs.
Speaking to Daily Mail, Annie Liban, owner of Busselton Food of Asia, said she was impressed when she saw Cage and was initially unsure if it was him.

‘We still can’t get over it. We didn’t notice him at first. We are used to getting a lot of tourists,” she said.
“He came in with the wife, the baby and the babysitter. We thought, ‘Wow, rich man,’ because there were so many tourists coming to the area,” she continued.
‘He was wearing boots and a jacket at the same time. I said to one of my co-workers, “He looks like Nicholas Cage.”
‘We couldn’t hold back. I noticed he was wearing Prada sunglasses. I thought: a lot of men here don’t wear Prada.’
Speaking to Daily Mail, Annie Liban, owner of Busselton Food of Asia, said she was impressed when she saw Cage and was initially unsure if it was him.
Liban explained that Cage paid with American cash as he had not yet collected local currency.
Nic told her, “I’m so sorry I didn’t get the chance to get Australian dollars, I only have American dollars.”
Liban continued: ‘We said, “You look like Nicholas Cage” at the counter and he said, “That’s me.”
“He was very polite, very respectful. They probably came here from the airport.’
Cage quickly picked up the local language when Liban told him he could pick up basic groceries at the ‘Woolies’ – i.e. the nearby Woolworths supermarket.
Nick’s shopping included kimchi, a spicy fermented cabbage
He also picked up some Japanese sauces
The shop also serves hot food and Nic ordered fried rice
‘He asked if we had butter or olive oil. I told him he could find it at Woolies and he said, “What is Woolies?” she said.
‘He was so down to earth. They did a lot of shopping. The baby cried a little. So they just wanted to get all the stuff done.
‘Definitely the first A-lister to come into the store.’
The couple welcomed their daughter August, Riko’s first child and Nicolas’ third, in September last year.
Nicolas and Rico met in Japan in 2020 when he was filming Sion Sono’s Prisoners Of Ghostland.
He later went to the local Woolworths supermarket after telling the owners of the Asian store that he needed oil and butter, and they advised him to go to ‘the Woolies’. Pictured with a cart full of goods after a visit to Woolworths
She got a role in the film playing one of the four Mannequin Women.
After getting engaged via FaceTime, the couple married in February 2021 at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.
Nic will film The Surfer, a psychological thriller, in Western Australia’s most famous surfing and wine region.
Cassandra Jordan, CEO of CinefestOZ, said of Cage: “It is beyond exciting to have something of this caliber filmed in our region.
“(The film) follows Nicolas Cage, a man who returns to his hometown after many years away from the region, and it all centers on him facing off against a local gang of surfers who take ownership of a remote beach from his youth.”
