Nick Jonas announces postponement of several Jonas Brothers concert dates after contracting the flu: ‘I’m just heartbroken over this’

Nick Jonas announced that several shows on the Jonas Brothers’ ongoing tour would have to be rescheduled in a video shared to Instagram on Friday.

Although the 31-year-old artist and his siblings Joe, 34, and Kevin, 36, were set to take the stage in Mexico City on Friday evening, he stated that the band would postpone four concerts to a later date.

The hitmaker – who was recently ‘forced to move’ from his dream home – revealed the decision was made after he was struck down with the flu, which massively hampered his ability to perform.

Jonas stated, “A few days ago I started feeling a little rough, lost my voice when I woke up and out that night to be able to play the show in Cancun.”

The artist subsequently stated that he began experiencing flu-like symptoms and consulted a doctor, after which he was advised to postpone the band’s shows in both Mexico City and Monterrey.

“We always want to be able to give you the best show, but I just can’t do that right now for these shows in Mexico,” he added.

The Disney Channel alumnus then wrote that he was “incredibly sorry” for having to postpone the shows and that he was looking forward to returning to Mexico to perform for the band’s fans.

Jonas concluded his message by saying: ‘You are the best fans in the world. Will yield 120% in August!’

The Mexico City shows have been moved to August 21 and 22, and the Monterrey concerts will take place on the 24 and 25 of the same month.
