Nick Grimshaw revealed he was rushed to hospital on the day of Matty Healy’s wedding in LA after suffering a severe allergic reaction.
The radio DJ, 42, said he was drinking juice at his hotel last month when his eye swelled and his throat became inflamed.
He said on the On a side track podcast: ‘It was so bad, so bad, my nose popped out and my eyes closed, so that’s when I panicked.
‘The hotel panicked because they said, “Oh, are you allergic to nuts?” and I thought: no. And they said, “Can you breathe?” I was like, yeah, and they were like, “Are you going to shut your mouth?” and I thought, “Oh, now I think it is.”
“It was bad, I had to go to the ER and get a damn steroid shot.”

Nick said he “felt weird” after being given the steroid and noticed that his joints hurt afterwards.
He said “super caring and super helpful” singer Charli XCX came to his rescue and arranged for a doctor to assess him because he was still feeling pain.
And Nick still managed to make it to Matty’s wedding to Gabbriette, 29, he just had to make sure he wore sunglasses all day.
Matty and Gabbriette married in a glamorous ceremony under the Hollywood sign with celebrity guests including Charli XCX, Emily Ratajkowski, model Alex Consani, Healy’s The 1975 bandmates and Matty’s mother Denise Welch.
The couple has been linked since September 2023, following Matty’s split from Taylor Swift in June, when they were spotted enjoying some steamy PDA in New York City.
They announced their engagement in 2024, after a whirlwind nine-month romance and not long after Swift and Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce went public with their romance.
The bride walked down the aisle in “a beautiful white dress and they kissed at exactly 7 o’clock.”
The reception also took place at Madonna’s former historic estate at Castille del Lago in the Hollywood Hills, with Matt entertaining his guests and new wife by performing a set with The 1975.
A representative for the couple told the Daily Mail in an official statement: “Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel were married in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, attended by their family and close friends.” A separate source told the Daily Mail that the couple “work really well together” and are “absolutely in love with each other.”
“The right person came along that made him want to settle down,” the source continued. “It’s not surprising: They fit together so well that it makes sense.”
The insider said Gabbriette is “the whole package.”
