Sean McVay doesn’t do things by halves.
So, it comes as no surprise that in order to get what he wanted — Matthew Stafford in and Jared Goff out — that he produced a passionate rant for the cause, while ‘a few tequilas in’.
Before we go forward to the current day, Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. We must travel back, and abroad, to where the genesis of Stan Kroenke’s tickertape parade was born.
After meeting Stafford for drinks in Cabo, McVay returned to the comfort of his hotel room. The plush serenity certainly was seemingly the antithesis of the head coach’s internal state.

With the courage of his convictions, seemingly stoked by the tequila, McVay proceeded to hit FaceTime with the Rams’ front office, according to ESPN.
‘Here’s the f***ing deal, OK? We can sit here and exist, and be OK winning nine to 11 games, and losing in the f***ing divisional round and feel like, “Oh, everything’s OK.”
‘Or, we could let our motherf***ing nuts hang, and go trade for this f***ing quarterback, and give ourselves a chance to go win a f***ing world championship. You ready to f***ing do this or what?’
They were indeed ready. Within 24 hours Stafford was Los Angeles bound while Goff learned of his imminent relocation to Detroit. The Rams traded out the former Cal quarterback alongside two first-rounders and a third-round pick.

McVay and Stafford will look to make it two from two when they kickoff their NFL season against Buffalo Bills on September 8.
Awaiting them on the other side is superstar quarterback Josh Allen and former friend turned foe, Von Miller, who left Los Angeles for Buffalo during free agency.
While the Rams roster remains largely in tact following their Super Bowl win, they are without key personnel from their fairytale run.
Miller as well as All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner and free agent receiver Odell Beckham Jr have all left the building. Though there is hope Beckham could return to Los Angeles to run it back.
