NFL reveals its stance on players doing the Donald Trump dance as the craze sweeps sports

The NFL has ‘no problem’ with players performing the Donald Trump dance while celebrating on the field, it has emerged.

Brock Bowers, Calvin Ridley and Nick Bosa are among the stars who have imitated the president-elect in recent weeks, but the NFL has no plans to crack down on the craze.

An NFL spokesperson told Front Office Sports, “There is no problem with a celebratory dance like yesterday or the week before with the 49ers… it is up to the networks to cover it as they see fit.”

But while the league isn’t punishing players for the Trump dance, Bosa was fined nearly $12,000 by the 49ers for wearing a MAGA hat while interrupting a teammate’s interview on camera. In punishing Bosa, the NFL said he was guilty of violating the league’s rule barring players from displaying messages on the field.

Bosa, who also did the Trump dance while celebrating a sack, said it was “worth it” before he was even fined.

And it’s not just football players who are showing their support for Trump.

Soccer star Christian Pulisic celebrated a recent goal against Jamaica by performing the stepless, arm-shaking dance on Trump’s podium. Additionally, LPGA star Charley Hull and the UFC’s Jon Jones have also incorporated the maneuver into various celebrations.

“Thank you very much to President Donald Trump for being with us tonight,” Jones said after his knockout victory on Saturday in New York before performing Trump’s stepless, arm-shaking stage dance.

Hull, a British golfer, was captured on Sunday mimicking Trump’s infamous dance move during the final round of an event.

Golf fans loved Hull’s antics, with many taking to social media to admire the world number 11.

“I couldn’t love her more,” claimed one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter.

As for Pulisic, this is not the first indication that he is conservative.

In 2020, he liked a post by rapper 50 Cent, urging people to vote for Trump in the election.

He also liked a 2021 post that advocated shooting Antifa members.

Pulisic’s celebration came after the first of his two goals in an emphatic 4-2 win for the Americans in St. Louis on Monday.

OutKick founder Clay Travis captioned a clip of the celebration “We are so f***ing back” and mocked “Wake American Soccer Fans” with a popular clip of a girl crying and laughing.

And Fox Soccer analyst Alexi Lalas – who previously made his right-wing political views known – also chimed in.

‘Pulisian scores. Pulisic does the Trump dance. We are winning the World Cup… in a big way,” he said on X.
