NFL fans all say the same thing after Eagles star Saquon Barkley’s 300-yard game against the Rams

NFL fans are calling for Saquon Barkley to win NFL MVP after his incredible season with the Eagles continued Sunday night.

The running back racked up a remarkable total of 302 yards in Philadelphia’s 37-20 win against the Rams, scoring 70-yard and 72-yard touchdowns at SoFi Stadium.

Barkley rushed for 255 yards from 26 carries – a single-game record for the Eagles and a career high for the 27-year-old. Barkley also had four receptions for 47 yards as the Eagles moved to 9-2.

The former Giants star now has 1,137 receiving yards for the season, behind only Derrick Henry in the NFL for 2024.

This latest performance has reignited the debate over who should be MVP, with many fans arguing that Barkley should now edge out favorites Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson for the award.

“If the season ends tomorrow, Saquon Barkley will be the NFL MVP. Great for him and he deserves all the success in the world after leaving the #Giants,” someone said on social media.

“I know the NFL has rebranded the MVP as a QB-only award… but if Saquon keeps this up, you can’t tell me with a straight face that Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen deserve it over him!” said another.

“I’m dead serious when I say that Saquon Barkley might be the MVP frontrunner right now,” a third pointed out.

No running back has won the award since 2012, when Adrian Peterson was awarded for a season with 2,097 rushing yards.

‘Shall we also show respect for the RBs? Saquon Barkley should definitely be considered for MVP,” a fourth wrote on social media.

“Saquon Barkley, you just made yourself the leader in the MVP race,” said another.

The Eagles star is now around +650 to win the prize at some bookmakers, behind only Bills quarterback Allen and Ravens star Jackson.
