Hugh Jackman appeared to be in good spirits on Sunday as he took a walk in the countryside, a week after announcing his shock split from wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
The Wolverine star, 54, posted a photo gallery to Instagram capturing him enjoying a peaceful walk in the rain through a picturesque park in New York City.
Jackman was all smiles as he posed next to a quiet walking path and a lake.
‘Sunday morning walk in the rain… heavenly (and muddy)!’ he wrote next to the photos.

It comes after Jackman and Furness announced they were divorcing after 27 years of marriage.
“We are blessed to have had a beautiful, loving marriage together for almost thirty years. Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to pursue our individual growth,” the couple said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE earlier this month.

The former couple signed the statement as “Deb and Hugh Jackman,” adding, “This is the only statement either of us will make.”
The Australian couple share two children together; Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
Jackman briefly spoke to paparazzi on the street after the shocking announcement and admitted that he and his soon-to-be ex-wife are struggling with their divorce.
While walking down a street, he announced that “it’s a tough time,” but declined to talk further about the breakup.
