Newcastle’s injury nightmare took another turn after Miguel Almiron limped off during the first half of their Premier League trip to Bournemouth.
The striker fell to the ground after suffering an apparent hamstring problem at the Vitality Stadium and was unable to continue after checks by medics.
Experienced winger Matt Ritchie was brought in to replace him.
Eddie Howe’s staggering list of absentees now stands at twelve, including key players Callum Wilson, Bruno Guimaraes, Alexander Isak and Sven Botman.
