Newcastle United will reportedly reward Miguel Almiron in form with a new contract and put an end to speculation about the winger’s future at the club.
The 28-year-old is almost halfway through the five-year deal he signed when he joined MLS side Atlanta United in 2019 in a then club record £25million.
Almiron has been fantastic for Newcastle this season, scoring six goals in 12 Premier League games and becoming an integral part of Eddie Howe’s squad.

His impressive form means the Toon is concerned that rival clubs will take a step when the transfer window reopens in January.
And Almiron is offered a new deal, according to De Telegraaf.
The winger has been linked with moves from Tyneside in almost every transfer window over the past 18 months
But since Jack Grealish’s disdainful mockery at Manchester City’s title celebrations, he’s been in sparkling form for the Magpies.

Grealish joked that Riyad Mahrez had to be pulled out in decisive final day win over Aston Villa because he ‘played like Almiron’
Almiron, however, has had the last laugh after scoring five in October – as many as Grealish achieved for Man City in 14 months.
Newcastle are keen to tie their key players on long-term deals following the arrival of football director Dan Ashworth.
Striker Callum Wilson has already been given a new contract by the club’s Saudi Arabia-led consortium.
