About X he wrote: ‘It’s been a year since Scott Pilgrim Takes Off was released. It was an honor to work with all the cast and staff around the world. It was like conducting a symphony orchestra every day.
‘From the moment [co-creator] Ben David Grabinski sparked the idea, the project felt like a unique miracle.
“Anyway, we were recently told the show is NOT returning.
“As you know, we only planned one season and called in a lot of favors to make it happen, so making more would have been almost impossible.
“Yet I know some of you still hold out hope.”
While fans are disappointed that the series will not return, he previously emphasized that the program was intended to be a “standalone” story and that the team “didn’t have any ideas lying around.”
