Natalie Portman’s husband, Benjamin Millepied, reportedly made every effort to save his marriage earlier on Friday, after she reportedly learned he had been having an affair with a younger woman.

And the 41-year-old Oscar winner and the 45-year-old dancer and choreographer were photographed just days before the news broke.

The couple looked as though nothing was amiss in their relationship while in Paris on May 29 following the film’s critically acclaimed premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

The fence star and her husband were even spotted sharing a romantic kiss.

They were dining with Haynes and other friends at the Georges restaurant, and Portman could be seen outside having a conversation with Haynes, an acclaimed filmmaker known for directing Carol, Far From Heaven, and Safe, among others.

Millepied’s alleged affair, first reported by the French outlet Voiciwas reportedly with a 25-year-old woman, according to Page six.

A source also confirmed to DailyMail.com that Portman and Millepied are still together.

However, People reported that an insider claimed the alleged affair was “short-lived” and is now “over.”

They went on to call it a ‘massive mistake’, although they claimed Millepied, 45, was aware of the extent of his alleged offense and was working with Portman to repair the damage.

Portman representatives declined to comment on DailyMail.com. So far, neither she nor Millepied have commented on the recent reports.

During their May 29 social outing, Portman could be seen grinning from ear to ear as he chatted with Haynes while most of the group sipped wine.

She looked stunning in a patterned pink dress with short sleeves and a maxi skirt, teamed with chic black cat-eye sunglasses.

Complicating matters are photos published in France showing Millepied with 25-year-old climate activist Camille Étienne.

The Page Six source said Portman and Millepied are “trying to work things out” at the moment.

“Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family,” they said.

They added that Portman is “incredibly private” about matters related to her marriage.

“Her main focus right now is protecting the kids,” the source added.
