The statuesque star surprised fans by announcing the birth of her daughter in May 2021, just weeks after appearing on the New York Fashion Week runway without a visible bulge.

She later insisted that her daughter was not adopted amid growing speculation about her biological ancestry.

Speaking to British Vogue in February while posing with her daughter for a cover shoot, the model confirmed: “She’s not adopted, she’s my daughter.”

Naomi was shy during the new interview and, despite confirming that her daughter is not adopted, she refused to give more details about her firstborn.

However, she admitted that very few of her wide circle of friends and family knew that she planned to become a mother.

She explained: ‘I can count on one hand the number of people who knew I was having it. But she is the biggest blessing she could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.

Naomi has traveled a lot in recent months, but insists her daughter doesn’t mind flying.

She said: ‘I’m lucky my little one loves to travel like I do, without whining when taking off or landing. He is a good girl: he sleeps very well, hardly ever cries’

She added: ‘I always knew I would be a mother one day, but it’s the greatest joy I could imagine. I’m lucky to have her and I know it.

The supermodel, who is believed to be single, shocked her Instagram followers in May by sharing a photo of herself cradling her newborn daughter.

Model mom: Naomi announced she’s a mom in May 2021, four years after crediting science for giving her the chance to start a family ‘whenever she wants’

Offering a first look at her new arrival with a photo of her baby, she wrote: ‘A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother.

“I am so honored to have this gentle soul in my life that there are no words to describe the lifelong bond I now share with you, my angel. There is no greater love.

Naomi was last in a relationship with rapper Skepta in 2018, but enjoyed an affair with Liam Payne the following year. She has also enjoyed high-profile relationships with Diddy, Robert De Niro, Mike Tyson, and Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin over the years.

Although she is notoriously private about her love life, she has previously stated that she is “on good terms” with her exes and is not believed to be dating anyone new at the moment.

HOW DID NAOMI BECOME A MOTHER AT 50 YEARS OLD?

Naomi hasn’t revealed the method in which she welcomed her daughter, but she has previously discussed her many options for starting a family.

SURROGACY

Some mature mothers choose to have a baby through surrogacy, when someone has a baby for a couple who are unable to have a child.

Direct surrogacy uses the surrogate mother’s own eggs to conceive and can performed at home via artificial insemination, using an insemination kit or through a clinic via IUI or IVF with the surrogate mother acting as a known egg donor.

Surrogacy is legal in the UK, but it is illegal to advertise surrogates. No financial benefits other than reasonable expenses may be paid to the surrogate.

Naomi previously hinted that she would pursue surrogacy when she said: “I think about having kids all the time.” But now, with the way science is, I think I can do it whenever I want.

THE PREGNANCY

More mothers are waiting until later in life to have children, but pregnancy after 50 is still quite rare.

A woman’s fertility begins to decline in her early 30s. After age 35, her number of viable eggs begins to decline more rapidly.

However, celebrities have made headlines for having children in their later years, including Janet Jackson, who gave birth to her son, Eissa Al Mana, at age 50.

Naomi said she wanted to welcome a child with a partner, saying, “I do want a father figure.” I think it’s important. This is how I feel today, sitting here talking to you’

She also hinted that she wanted to start a traditional family when she announced: “I want the same things as any other woman: the house, the children, everything.”

In another interview he said: ‘I would love to have children. I don’t rule anything out in life. I love children and always will.
