Nadia Bartel shared her inner thoughts about life after divorce.
The former WAG recently dubbed her new boyfriend Peter Dugmore ‘The One’ and on Friday she shared a video looking back on finding love.
In the Instagram clip, the 38-year-old speaks to her fans as she applies self-tanner while wearing workout clothes.
“I felt like my life was over, and that’s ridiculous to think about now,” she began, discussing her split from Jimmy Bartel after 11 years together in 2019.
“You think you’ll never be able to date again – I know I felt that way. I felt like I had two little kids and I didn’t have time for anything else.”
She continued, “It was also really hard for me because I had been with my ex since I was 22 or 23. Just the thought of dating again felt like a really strange thing to me, and I didn’t even know how to deal with that.”
Nadia went on to say that she “didn’t want to meet anyone” and that she was “so happy with her two boys.”
However, her interest was piqued when she received an Instagram message from Peter.

“I normally don’t respond to Instagram messages, and I don’t know if it was because I felt lonely, but I responded,” she said.
“I looked at his profile and we had some mutual friends and he seemed like a nice guy. He also didn’t have a lot of posts – which I liked.”
Nadia continues: ‘I really enjoyed the conversations, but I never thought I would ever see this person. It was just nice to chat.
“My mental health was good and I didn’t want to put myself in a situation where I could get hurt again.”
The Henne designer met Peter at The Tan, a park in Melbourne, and said they have been together ever since.

“I never thought I would meet this person, but when I saw him and heard his voice and his mannerisms, I just felt this spark and energy. It was crazy because I had never felt that since my breakup,” she said.
‘That feeling of connection with someone and an energy, that feels like it’s real’.
The couple is even considering having children together, Nadia said.
“You have to be careful with that. We took it very slowly and because of that they now have a great relationship,” she said.
Bartel says she and Dugmore have talked about having children.
“I’m older now, so I don’t know if or when that will happen, but it’s nice to get to the point where you can feel that way again.”
Nadia has two songs with her ex-husband Jimmy, Aston and Henley.
Earlier this year, Nadia confessed to Ny Breaking Australia at Glamour on the Grid in Melbourne last month that Peter is ‘The One’.
Nadia started dating the model in January 2022 and it seems like the relationship is now more serious than ever.
Bartel says she and Dugmore have talked about having children
The romance started after her much-publicized split from husband Jimmy Bartel in 2019.
“I think he’s The One. I think he is and I think he’s got so many great qualities,” she told Ny Breaking Australia at the event, which was held at the Marriott Bonvoy Lounge in Albert Park.

After Nadia and Peter went public with their relationship in late 2022, they have often been spotted together at exclusive events and on romantic dates in Melbourne.
Earlier this year, the loved-up couple were photographed passionately kissing at the Australian Open in Melbourne.

Nadia and Peter went official on Instagram in December 2022.
The couple confirmed their relationship by sharing a photo on Instagram Stories in which they found it very exciting.
Late last year, Nadia told Ny Breaking Australia that her relationship with the former soccer star and now model is going well.
“My love life is going well. It’s good. I’m happy,” she shared.

While Nadia is now with Peter, Jimmy had a baby with Amelia Sheppard in April last year.
