DO YOU think the bride is right?

The unnamed bride-to-be went on to state that her sister “deliberately” got pregnant to steal the spotlight away from her.

“I feel like she did this on purpose to divert attention from me. The only problem is she’s my sister and my parents say I have to postpone the wedding for her,” she continued.

The woman added that she refused to change the date because it would ruin her marriage, and she and her husband-to-be could not get the deposits back.

However, she said that both her partner and parents had labeled her as “dramatic” because of this.

She said, “I’m not delaying my day because we’ve booked the venue since November 2022. Even my fiancée takes her side.”

She ended the post by asking, “Am I being dramatic?”

Social media users rushed to the comment section to slap the bride, labeling her as ‘selfish’

Social media users rushed to the comment section to slay the bride.

One person said, “The bride is obviously crazy – no one in the history of forever has deliberately gotten pregnant to ruin someone else’s wedding.”

“But the parents are also crazy. Postpone the wedding!? Don’t they realize the costs involved in changing a wedding date after non-refundable deposits have been paid and contracts signed? After guests have already bought airline tickets?

“If the sister gives birth on the wedding day, send the bride’s mother to assist her and the bride’s father to the wedding to escort the bride down the aisle. With live streaming and video calling, you don’t have to be physically present to support each other as a family.’

Another user commented, “I don’t know why she would think her sister was up to that, but her sister should step down and just have a happy pregnancy.”

“At the same time, she should not postpone the wedding for her sister. Those are both major life events, and sometimes those things overlap. There is nothing you can do about it.’

Someone else said, “Bride: “She’s been trying for a while… I think she did this on purpose” Uh, duh! You knew she was trying to conceive jump. What’s the problem?!’

“The bride and her parents all need reality checks,” another user commented.

Another user added, “It’s ridiculous of the parents to expect her to delay, but she’s crazy to think her sister did this on purpose.”

“Marry your date. You are really naive and self-centered if you don’t realize that this can happen. You knew they were trying to conceive. Did you send everyone a memo saying you’re sorry, but your life is now on hold because I’m getting married? Sorry, but life goes on, even when you get married,” said one person.

Social media users begged her to “re-read” the post.

“Wow, if I were you I would read this again. And if I were your fiance, I’d probably reconsider my relationship with you. How dare anyone else live a life that doesn’t revolve around your wedding?’ one person said.

Another user wrote, ‘This is the most selfish thing I’ve read in this group. You and your sister should be happy for each other. You both have major life changing events, and this is such an exciting time. Just be happy for each other. ‘

And while the majority of users slammed the bride-to-be, there were a few who agreed with her

And while the majority of users slammed the bride-to-be, there were a few who agreed with her.

One person said, ‘I think the parents telling her to change her wedding date are not in agreement.

“Pregnant sister should quit the wedding and maybe be a guest, if she can make it to the wedding.

“The bride may just be overwhelmed or used to her sister being the golden child.”

Another commented, “Okay, she’s overly dramatic, but!” I would be upset if my family tried to force me to cancel my already planned wedding. Hell no, sister can step down from matron of honour/bridesmaid duties.

It’s the only reasonable solution. Sister probably won’t be able to fulfill the duties anyway.”

‘I wouldn’t delay anything. She could have taken a break from getting pregnant for a few months to avoid exactly this situation and she chose not to,” said another.
