My Kitchen Rules star caught on camera doing ‘unsanitary’ act in Woolworths vegetable aisle – before being eliminated from show
A My Kitchen Rules star raised eyebrows on Wednesday night after she committed a questionable act in the vegetable aisle of a Woolworths supermarket.
In the episode, sisters Patricija and Brigita went to the shops to prepare for their Lithuanian-inspired Instant Restaurant.
But when it came time to purchase ingredients for their cold beet soup, things went wrong.
In one scene, a panicked Patricija was seen grabbing a bunch of shallots from a Woolworths display, before accidentally dropping a second bunch on the ground.
Instead of alerting an employee, she simply picked up the shallots and placed them back on the display for another customer to pick up.

The proper etiquette for handling dropped produce in the supermarket is the subject of ongoing debate.
According to Food RepublicIf the products are undamaged, customers don’t have to worry about alerting an employee and can simply put the products back on the stack and continue.
This would probably apply to shallots, which are not easily damaged in an impact.

Despite the sisters’ efforts in the kitchen, Patricija and Brigita could not impress the judges with their menu
It is never encouraged for shoppers to leave products on the floor as this could cause other customers to trip and injure themselves.
Food that has been dropped can be exposed to bacteria on the floor, so it is always encouraged that customers wash newly purchased items before eating.
